After seeing the movie, I was very surprise of the destruction of Vulcan and the alternate time line that the arrival of Nero caused. What a great idea! But I’ve been thinking about this for a long time. Is it really an alternate time line, or is it in fact the “actual” time line that we know in the series. All my ideas converge that it is the time line that we know!
First, I’ve always wonder why we never saw Vulcan ships in the original series and all the other series after. We hear about the Vulcans, but they play a much hidden role. In fact, the first time I saw a Vulcan ship was in Star Trek: Enterprise... which is 100 years before Kirk!!! In that series, Vulcans are everywhere and they really play an active role in the future federation.
Second, what are the chances that all the crew would get together without the interference of Nero. What are that chances that Scotty would be on the Enterprise without these events?
The scenario is so great. It let many opens doors for different possibilities.
I’m a really big fan!!
