Rate the Final Episode for each Trek Series

Please rate each of the series final episode for each of the five Star Trek series with between one (*) and five (*****) stars. No selective series rating -- you need to have seen ALL of the series final episodes to rate them.
For TOS - I'm using Star Trek 6: The Undiscovered Country, basically because Turnabout Intruder was the final TOS epsiode, but not an ending to the series, and Generations is really a TNG film.

My Ratings:

TOS: The Undiscovered Country - Five Stars ***** - a great send-off of the TOS crew and a grand culmination of the Klingon - Federation conflict. What more could you ask for?

TNG: All Good Things - Five Stars ***** - a phenominal ending to seven years of TNG, particularly as the writers had less than a week to do the script! Another fine Brannon Braga time-bending contribution (co-writer). This episode, not Nemesis, is the true finale of TNG.

DS9: What You Leave Behind - Two Stars ** - a prime example of how to cram way too much into a series finale. Trying to tie up umpteenth loose ends and plot lines left this episode way too scattered. Perhaps starting to tie up these themes half way through season seven would have given What You Leave Behind more breathing room.

VOY: Endgame - Five Stars **** - Another great Brannon Braga time travel script with action, poignancy, adventure, drama, you name it. Tim Russ did an incredible job portraying Tuvok with Vulcan Dementia. A great ending to a wonderful series.

ENT: These are the Voyages - Three and a half Stars ***1/2 - Ok, so it wasn't what I would have done. Nonetheless, I didn't mind the TNG subplot with Riker and Deanna. If I look at this not only as the last episode of Enterpise, but also the last episode of over four decades of Star Trek -- then I get what they were trying to do. And yes, I would have liked to have heard Archer's speech, but that wasn't what happened.

TOS 5 (TUC, simply an awesome movie)

DS9 5 (What an INCREDIBLE finish, the war ends, the fight against Dukat after 7 years, I cried when Sisko talked to Cassidy in the end, episodes like this is what destroyed Star Trek because it was too hard for the idiots to make better episodes than this masterpiece so every stupid voyager/ent episode would be compared to DS9 after this)

VOY 1 (I hated this episode so much, they should have skipped the whole time travel, it's like they had no clue how to finish up so we simply didn't get to see most of their journey back home)

ENT 1 (No real comment but I think Enterprise showed them finally that the audience no longer will watch stupid aliens of the week, we require story arches like DS9. It's 2000 not 1980s)

TNG 4 (NEM I thought this movie was way better than many gave it credit for, the whole B4 thing was stupid but the rest of the movie was very dark and made me feel bitter and sad, when a movie can provoke those feelings by a script it must have some redeeming qualities.)

Technically, The Undiscovered Country, was not a part of the series, that was "Turnabout Intruder." Naming TUC a finale is a do-over. If that's the case, Nemisis should be TNG's finale. :D

A good point. Exactly what I thought. :)

I'd rate (out of 5)
TOS ***
DS9 *****
TNG *** (There was not much good in All Good Things)
Voyager ***
Enterprise *

Why TUC for TOS and not NEM for TNG?

TOS-TUC: 3.9
An entertaining movie in its own right, with an excelent wrap-up quality.
TNG-AGT: 4.7
Very TNG, great episode, great conclusion.
TNG-NEM: 2.9
Awful movie. Tries to wrap things up but with poor sucess.
DS9-WYLB: 4.5
If it weren't for the whole pah-wraith travesty I'd give a 4.9. Wraps up things very well with a few strange exceptions. Fun episode. Conclusion to Dominion war great.
VOY-EG: 2.5
Trite, action heavy comic book plotline. Laughable attempts to wrap up plot threads, possibly because the few that existed were so weakly kept.
ENT-TATV: 1.9
Almost nothing good to say. Took a massive shit on Manny Coto's work, poor plotline, destroyed all the characters as we know them, and felt completely trite.

TOS - 3. Not very good, as with much of the third season.
TAS - 4. We finally get to meet the fabled Robert April.
TMPa - 5. TUC is one of the best of the movies.
TNG - 5
TMPb - 1. Nemesis sucked. End of story. No redeeming qualities at all.
DS9 - 4
Vgr - 0.5 I read earlier in the thread someone praising this episode as "great". I nearly threw up while reading that. This gets a full half point, only because they finally ended the fucking show. It hadn't been good since the third season.
Ent - 1. And that point is only because Riker and Troi elevated that piece of shit up out of the muck.

I liked WYLB, Endgame and Terra Prime. The rest is neither worth mentioning nor bitching about. What's done is done.

TOS - The Undiscovered Country -- ***
I liked the parallel stories of searching for the killers while Kirk and McCoy are hanging out with a sexy shapeshifter. And let's not forget Capt. Sulu! :) I was shocked when Spock mind-raped Valeris. That's so unlike him. And Kirk's speech at the end was kind of preachy. Just not my favorite of the TOS movies.

TNG - These are the Voyages[/b] -- :censored:
Can't say it any clearer than that.

DS9 - What You Leave Behind -- *****
Just for giving us that heart-wreching montage at the end. And having the guts to break up the team.

VOY - Endgame -- ****
I like that Adm. Janeway was prepared to do anything to change the tragic past. Ballsy. It would have gotten an "A" if either of two things had happened.
Option 1: That scene where Harry led the toast "to the journey" raised a hope in me that they weren't going to take the conduit home after all.
Option 2: They get home but we also get the emotional payoff we were denied: The crew is reunited with loved ones... Adm. Paris seeing what a fine man his son has become (husband, father, officer... what a difference since Caretaker!). Seven meets her only non-Borg relative. Harry's parents want to know why he never got promoted. ... etc. And Barclay finally gets to meet the real Voyager crew!

Enterprise - Terra Prime: -- *****
I love this episode so much. T'Pol's "hello, I am your mother" scene is sweet... Trip "Macguyver" Tucker was awesome! A heckuva ride over the Martian landscape (and I loved the Sagan/Rover memorial!).

And that final scene ...

ETA: If you're rating movies as series finales, it seems to me that in order to be fair, they should be held to a higher standard because they get bigger budgets and more time for filming and production than weekly television episodes.

TOS (Turnabout Intruder): Two stars. Interesting, but forgettable, third season episode that just happened to be the last.

TNG (All Good Things): Five stars. Best finale of the lot.

DS9 (What You Leave Behind): Four stars. Geneally excellent, but I'm dropping one for the conclusion of Dukat's lamentably stupid S7 arc.

VOY (Endgame): Two stars. Blech, stupid plot.

ENT (These Are The Voyages): Three stars. Nice episode, good thematic send-off, but has a number of problems.

TOS Movies (The Undiscovered Country): Five stars. A good send-off.

TNG Movies (Nemesis): Two stars. Just another lame movie that happened to be the last one, like 'Turnabout Intruder'.

TOS/Turnaround Intruder - Just another episode, and a season three episode at that. 2/5

TNG/All Good Things - Good finale, but never quite made sense to me. Picard was grateful to Q for giving him the opportunity to save the AQ, but without Q, it wouldn't have been in danger in the first place.... 4/5

DS9/What You Leave Behind - Pretty much the same as Kegek - Generally very, very good, but the Dukat conclusion was a shitty end to a character that they'd completely fucked over by that point. 4/5

VOY/Endgame - Terrible finale to a missed opportunity of a series. 1/5

ENT/These are the Voyages - Another terrible finale, to a (relatively) poor series. The only positive that I can think of is that it was still better than Endgame. 2/5

TOS Movies/The Undiscovered Country - Excellent movie. A nice send off, but one mark deducted for taking them a movie too far, they looked like they'd just stepped in from a retirement home. 4/5

TNG Movies/Nemesis - Probably the worst send off of any of the series. The TNG crowd deserved better than this tripe. 0/5.

The whole episode revolving around anti-time nonsense and more Troi/Worf angst lowered this episode in my opinion.

TOS (Turnabout Intruder) **
TNG (All Good Things) *****
DS9 (What You Leave Behind) ****
VOY (Endgame) ***
ENT (These Are The Voyages) **
TOS Movies (The Undiscovered Country) ****
TNG Movies (Nemesis) ***

ENT: I consider Terra Prime to be ENT's last episode and give it ****
TOS: Honestly, don't remember watching that episode.
TNG: Been a while, using Q was making TNG come full circle ***
DS9: End of the war, people drifting apart. *****
VOY: Please, could have done better, but not a bad ending ***

TOS, TNG and DS9 all had good send-offs. VOY's was bad but I wouldn't have thought it was that bad, if I'd seen the catastrophe that ENT got, at the end of a pretty good season to boot.

The Original Series - *****
I sniffed as I watched.

The Next Generation - *****
I teared up a little at the end.

Deep Space Nine - *****
I openly cried like a little baby.

Voyager - **
I was, uh, suitably unimpressed.

Enterprise - *
Only because I can't give zero stars.

TOS:TI*** Ok episode, definitely not one of their best.
TUC:**** Second best TOS movie and third best movie overall
TNG:**** Good finale, you can't go wrong with Q & Time Travel
NEM: Worst Trek movie ever, even more so than Final Frontier.
DS9:***** Best finale of all of the series.
VGR:**** I thought this was a good final episode, it got them home while still delivering what I thought was a good story.
ENT: Horrible, by far the worst finale.
