Let's finish it.

Rate TFF on a scale of 1 to 5 stars with the best trek movie as a 5--not against movies in general.

George Takei and I had many long discussions about the failure of this movie. He knew it was a flop and didn't want it repeated in a future movie.

3 stars for me.
It's disjointed, but I still think it has some of the best character moments for the big three and that makes it not that bad for me.

**

Bad as it is, it's still not as unwatchable as Nemesis. This one at least has some redeeming qualities in the character interactions.

This is really a 'bottom-heavy' poll.

Thank god not too many folks are claming it's 'classic' or 'great' or the best.

With characters as cool as the big 3, it would have been hard to make a worse movie, which they kinda did in TMP by underusing the big 3.

Gave it a 2. Have to agree with the majority -- it's the weakest of the TOS movies, and not even as good as most of the TNG movies. I did like the part with McCoy's pain, how he mercy killed his father. I'm probably one of the few people on this board who enjoyed the Uhura fan dance! And I kind of dug the commando outfits. For those reasons I didn't give it a 1. Aside from that, the dumb bit about the "marsh melons," the silly "Row, row, row your boat" part, the ridiculous "comedy" with Scotty bumping his head on the bulkhead -- terrible. -- RR

Gave it a 2. Liked it. Didn't love it. Some things I really hated, but a few things that stood out in a positive way. I think the only thing that managed to save it for me, was I read the book version a day and a half before it came out. The first and only time I ever spoiled a movie like that.

Gave it a 2. It had its moments, especially amongst the characters, but the story was bad and it stretched believability, even for a Trek movie. I think it made the best attempt of any of the Trek movies though at give the characters some genuine, sincere moments of chemistry, though.

Half a star for the soundtrack, which is the only good thing about this mindless piece of drivel masquerading as a movie.
