Has an advertisement ever actually influenced you to buy something? I can't think of anything I saw in an ad that I'd want to spend money on that I haven't already spent money on. Companies spend tens of millions annually on stadium naming rights, but I never actually think of the company itself. Or how about those silly bowl game names? Didn't inspire me to buy some Duke's Mayo or Cheez-It.

Maybe when I was a kid seeing a celebrity promote a drink would make me want it, but not today.

TIL that there's a Sarek National Park in Sweden.

Established in 1909. I wonder if Dorothy Fontana knew about the park and thought it would make a good Vulcan name, or if it's just a coincidence.
