Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

Blue-y is my favorite color, but, as god is my witness, it was not THIS Yank that copied Bluey!

Ok, so I DID cob some of the Good Stuff from "Crocodile Dundee", and I do affect an Aussie accent, from time to time, and I do go on walk-abouts and say "G'Day" to people and stuff - plus, shrimp on the barbie and, of course, Fosters, which I learned is actually really truly Australian for "Beer" - I didn't know that...because our advertising told us so...

But I will try to find out which copy-cat, cartoon-stealing, will-imposing American is responsible.

Best way to intimidate a problematic subordinate as Commanding Officer: Replicate a duplicate of their severed head on a platter and place it on your desk before calling them to your ready room. Especially effective if you eat some of it.

^ That reminds me of a Far Side cartoon I saw once. A kid is reporting to his shop teacher, who is at his desk but his back is turned so he can't see the kid or the huge, menacing robot behind the kid. The caption:

"My project's ready for grading, Mr. Big Nose. HEY! I'm TALKING to you, squidbrain!" :guffaw:

Assuming Peanut Hamper wasn't just being rude, I wonder about sanitation on Areore ships. Are there just...reclamation pads all over the place?

To order something on menulog for lunch or find something in my kitchen. Feel like Hungry Jacks - but not going out with this cold wind blowing at the moment.

if Ghosts or anything related to them could be proven scientifically would that change everyone's worldview or would you still have believers and non believers?

Chris Foss. One of my favourite artists. Very SF artist. Here's a cover he did for the Ian Gillan Band album Claar Air Turbulence (a ship that later turned up in Iain M Banks's first Culture novel):

Also did the Panther covers for the Lensman series, some of my favourites. You can find heaps online.

Well, I was kinda surprised to learn he was the artist for the sensual black and white sketches for The Joy of Sex, made odd by the fact so few of his SF covers feature people at all.

I love the colours here like a bee, speaking of which one of my old photos I did back at the Festival Theatre here in my hometown, and your picture made me think of that shoot, happy times back then.

There are people who still don't believe Covid is real, so I'm thinking you're always going to have some people for whom scientific proof is insufficient, for whatever the subject may be.

That is true

Also great book I just got in hardcover The art of Boris Vallejo. I used to have a copy of this but it got trashed in a house move and it is a great collection of his art
