I go to Io9 on a regular basis, but I'll admit, I haven't been actually reading as many articles there lately as I did when I first started going there. I used to really like, but it seems like I'm seeing more and more stuff I already saw on other sites, and the stuff I didn't just doesn't see as interesting any more.Anyone ever visit the Gizmodo sites? The entertainment pages have a lot less original content and a lot more slideshows. It's mostly just aggregated news that was reported elsewhere first.

Whose truth?
It doesn't matter what the subject is, what the writers are actually writing about are themselves. Mark Wahlberg's agent negotiates a better deal for him for All the Money in the World reshoots than Michelle Williams' agent did for her, so the A.V. Club article is outrage over how the punk from Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch is making more money than a female Oscar winner.
There's been some investigative journalism on Kotaku and Jalopnik, but the rest of the channels write like they're all on Deadspin.
They along with Jalopnik and Gawker are all the same outfit.io9 and such sites are competing for content.

easy - he already said everything that needs to be said about marjorie taylor greene and lauren boebert - i guess he wouldn't mind missinterpreting a word or two (like reading the first the in that quote as these and generally consuming it with a few brain cells not firing at that moment)Just amusing myself with the thought of Mark Twain in 2022 Earth and what he might think of the current crop of politicians

I think I could write a pretty strong argument in favor of female suffrage, but I do not want to do it. I never want to see the[se] women voting, and gabbling about politics, and electioneering. There is something revolting in the thought. It would shock me inexpressibly for an angel to come down from above and ask me to take a drink with him (though I should doubtless consent); but it would shock me still more to see one of our blessed earthly angels peddling election tickets among a mob of shabby scoundrels she never saw before.

Thank you for sharing this!!!I just want to say in advance that I do not intend this post to shame anybody, and I'm not trying to convert people here to veganism, I'm simply trying to go a little deeper into what lead me to the decision to go that way myself.
I've mentioned a few time my decision to go vegan, and I said before that it was because I watched cute videos of animals and running around and playing, but thinking about it more today, I realized it really is more than just that. It's also the fact that I've come to realize that these are thinking, feeling, beings who have friends, and love their families. They feel pain, and happiness, and get bored when stuck in small pens forever. And the more I thought about it, the more I hated the idea of them being forced into the horrible conditions of most farms where food animals are bred and lived, and then being brutally murdered.
Just out of curiosity, for the non-vegans on here, which I'm assuming are the majority of you, what would it take for you to go vegan? Again, I'm not trying to shame anyone here, I'm just honestly curious.
