Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

I'm randomly remembering a movie that used to air on comedy central in the 90s that in retrospect is horrible in nearly every way.

I forget the name. This guy falls in love with a woman, who tells him she has an alcohol problem and shouldn't be getting drunk. He then kinda pressures her into drinking, and she starts acting out. They end up at a restaurant with his boss, who has a wife who's a Japanese woman made up like a geisha who believes she is required to just sit there silently and stilly. She follows her into the bathroom where she informs her that as his wife, she's entitled to 50% of his money. The Japanese woman now knowing she has leverage in a divorce then leaves the bathroom and starts exerting her free will. According to the movie, this is a line the drunk woman unforgivably crossed. And in the end the guy nobly forgives the woman.

Every part of this movie is horrible, but in the 90s it was supposed to be a comedy. I think Andy McDowell might have been in it.

Come to think of it, So I Married An Axe Murderer also used to air on comedy central. A movie with Mike Meyers where he starts to think his fiance is a black widow because he read a story in the National Enquirer. She starts acting weird because she thinks her first three fiances left her at the altar and is scared he will too, but it turns out her overprotective sister has been murdering all her fiances. Again, this was supposed to be a comedy movie.

They make these crosswalks nowadays ..... bumpy so that drivers should slow down.......
If there's no illumination something like this can happen ..... this is not a crosswalk but you can fly in the same manner :)

"Fast and the furious Roundabout flyers"

How the fuck many reboots of Fantasy Island are we gonna get? Seems like there’s a new one every other week.

Wasn't there one like a year or two ago, I didn't mind that one but I'd like one that is more true to the TV show of the 80s.

Someone sent me this.

I take my tablet to the office so I can read. It's a bit hard on my old eyes to use a smartphone for reading.
I was saying only about the computer / laptop..... I think all 3 are useful for some purpose ....
The more things you have the better :)
Until they will invent some sort of an electronic computer meant to be implanted in our brain somewhere and connected in the same time to our palms or hands.
That way, if you'll clap your hands once ..... a screen will appear in front of you (of course no one will see it but you).
If you'll clap your hands twice the Apple / Windows menu will appear and if 3 times you'll get connected automatically to the internet.
Also if you wink once the window will get maximized and if you'll wink twice it will be the same as if you would hit ALT/command +F4 to close the window... :)
Anything is possible .... until you wake up lol :)

Simething I find interesting (if a bit gruesome) is the only surgical procedure I know of where a healthy body part is electively amputated: when a person loses a thumb, surgeons will sometimes replace it by cutting off one of the patient's toes and attaching it in the thumb's place: after all, a hand without a thumb is essentially useless, but a foot with four toes can still do its job just fine. And, there's zero risk of rejection because the toe is still "you".

Oh look! Its Richard Bashir!

If there's a washer dryer hookup that I don't intend to use, would it be okay to put something in front of it that's too heavy to easily move, or do I need to be worried about potential water issues later on?

I would buy one/whatever that has wheels under-neath for easy movement and cleaning, such as my present refrigerator. :)

Do you have a basement from which you can look up to see the underlying beams and floor structure?

As far as water issues/weakness under flooring, you likely need to consult w/ someone you can 91% trust or you will get...

Good Luck.

p.s. floors that "give or squeak" is also a clue that you may have a problem.

It's ground floor so there's nothing beneath it. Just wondering if that sort of access point is something that should remain easy to get to, or if I can treat it like just a wall and put stuff in front of it that's not a washer or dryer.

you may want to close up that hook-up - at least here you get those caps in every hardware store

Should be o.k. if you do not intend to plug anything into them.

I still recommend enlisting a certified electrician too be safer.
