Because it sells. That's all they care about. People buy the mags and watch the stupid interviews so the press keep doing it.

Because the media makes it sell.
People will follow any old trend...because they are basically ordered to. That's what mass media does.
Because people are fucking stupid. Seems to be pretty much the answer to a lot of things.
For the same reason the American press is so obsessed with people like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
People don't want celebrities to be people, they want them to be soap opera characters. And the press give them that.
I know you can disable a user's retweets in Twitter, but can you also do the same for QUOTE tweets?
It would be a bit awkward to be a ghost of the future, wouldn't it? Unless your personal time stream was in reverse, like Merlin.

I know someone who had an apartment where that happened all the time because the window lock was just crap!!! I can't tell you how many times he heard someone make that joke.

I am thinking this is a reenactment of a conversation happening around now --- end of classes on campus and just too funny --- it is like duh --- LOL but seriously this could have been me at times with the drug use(experiments) I did in college - all the time--- ahhhhhh LOL

Saturday was a great day for me because of popcorn. Why you ask? Because a store in our town always had popcorn on Saturdays. They have there own popcorn cart and they made it right there for customers to eat while walking around in the store. It is something many of us really enjoy. And it has been 14 months since they had it because of Covid. So this Saturday I walked into the store and thru my mask the first thing I noticed was the smell of popcorn! I was so excited, life will get back to normal, I know it because the popcorn is back

When I was a kid they didn't sell popcorn (I am guessing because it was an American thing) so one day my older brother convinced my parents to buy some corn to make our own. After several tries, he finally got it right. I can't tell you the fun we had making the thing they talked about in American movies.
