Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

I once told one of them I use a Mac then they hung up and didn't call for a while then after the lull they returned with different people but the same schtick only then I said I was running Linux which ended the calls for a while again... On the third time I said I have a keyboard plugged into a potato and told them to bugger off, the guy then got hysterical and I think was swearing in tamil or something. That was a fun day.

And now Boredom sets in! I embraced the boredom and mundanity of life,.. where all my addictions fell away. The excitement of just going on and living life as it becomes dull and placid like rubbing two coins together to create a sound, was no more enjoyable or excited me - it was over... there was nothing left to run from by using the obsession of excitements to get away from - the exciting parts had left and was not needed --- it became routine and status quo just --- On and on-- like this --- I embrace these dullings of time and space that was the way normal should be --- excitement leaves and what is important is plain and flat and bland - this, - I love this. and embrace these things as what I have now.

Where did you steal that from? I recall it, but can not place it.

The scam call I get that I love are the ones saying there is an issue with my car's warranty, or something like that, the problem with that is that I don't own a car or even drive.
I went on another bike ride today, and set a new distance record for myself, 6.4 miles, although I'm not quite as impressed now that I realize a mile is a lot shorter distance than I thought.

Doesn’t matter. Got exercise. Good job!

I get those car warranty ones, too, and they always lead off with "We have tried to reach you several times and if you don't do this that and the other, your warranty will run OUT leaving you vulnerable to zombie invasions and the heinous squirrel inquisition! To avoid these and other totally bogus fearsome catastrophes, send us oo-gobs of money right away!" At least I suppose it could end like this, but I always hang up after the first few words.

nothing was stolen--- just typed that out after a therapy session on addiction to excitement and my recovery from my addiction to being excited I was just thinking I don't pursue any addiction really so it is all boring and my therapist was relating how when addicts end their addition life is really boring for them(me) so yeah we talked about this for a while with what I wrote on it back nov. 11th last year just catching up with my step work in ACA -12 step program and working the stuff with my therapist an additions and trauma specialist like she is.

Random question that has no real answer:

What if swearing to tell the truth on the Bible resulted in instant death if you lied under oath? What would the justice system be like? What would society be like? What would religion be like?

I'll tackle all of those.

1. If you were hit with death for lying during swearing in first off there is instant proof of something you were hiding whether it is guilt or not, also instant proof of something supernatural going on.

2. The justice system would be shaken to the core because now without doubt lying in court during the most basic of court ceremonies would put a lot of people out of sorts, and in the morgue.

3. Society would have to rethink itself or die off, also getting back to point 1, that would be one feather in the cap for possible proof of an actual god of sorts, if suddenly this happened everywhere in courts.

Caller ID is a wonderful thing. Haven't had to deal with any of these since I started not even answering the phone for names/numbers I don't already know. Well, except for the robocalls that actually leave messages (usually the CRA scam), but then it's just a matter of pressing the key to delete.

Speaking of phone calls, I got a call from "Research" last weekend...

I think that's the first time I've ever been called by an abstract concept. Maybe "Romance" will call next weekend! :D

OMG that's neat. Funny too.

Caller ID isn't foolproof and spoofing numbers is easy

I gotta go back to this one...THE best response to a telemarketer:

Yeah, I'm starting to let it go to voice mail more often, but I've been looking for a job, and getting medical tests, and I don't want to let either of those kind of calls go to voice mail.
