I have an unused bedroom in my house which will be used if I ever have kids while living here. I was thinking to use it for maybe a 90s theme retro man cave. CRT TV with pre-HD gaming systems, bean bag chairs, VCR, 90s TV show posters.

I was thinking to get some old CRT anyway to play old twitchy games without input lag and it seems like a thing nerds would think is cool.

I survived another dinner with my stupid-ass in-laws. I only said, "Get over it" to my bat-shit crazy sister in-law once. When she prattled on, I stared at the wall. Junior was a big hit and got lots of attention. Hubby's loser friend came over, thank GOD; he's also a huge nerd, so we talked about Supernatural and Deadwood together.

Hubby and I both have tomorrow free, so I might put my Xmas tree up that day. His friends come over on Saturday for gaming. I don't usually join--I'm kinda over gaming all the time--but I might join in for a short game.

I was a bit sillier at Thanksgiving though, and I, unfortunately, took the place of my cousin when it came to comic relief. Problem is I'm not as good at it.

Empty nesters here - our son’s room is untouched and hubs and I both have extra rooms for fun stuff. I’ve got comic books and craft stuff in my extra room and he’s got his comics and weight equip in his den. Oddly the treadmill is in the dining room with the fish tanks lol.

tl/dr; the extra space is nice and can sometimes make the common areas of the house - every other room including our bedroom - more relaxed and fun. So why not?
