I was in 5th grade. The teachers were all out in the hallway and some of them were crying. We kids didn't know what to make of it, but we were scared and then sad when they finally told us. And a little amazed that that could happen to a president.

I've been watching old Barney Miller shows lately on tv and there are so many commercials late at night. Most of them are about removing "unwanted hair", so I guess the demographics indicate that hairy people watch old tv shows or early morning tv.
Not me, though. I'm not too hairy. Really I'm not. Sigh.

I currently watch the anime series "Legend of Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These" on Netflix, in the original Japanese with German subtitles. Thing is, there's a character named Admiral Sithole, and every time that name appears in the subtitles, my mind adds an 'h' in there.

My mother had Alzheimers and over a 10 year period we watched her decline mentally and physically
In the end, it was a blessing because she had no quality of life
Still hurts not to see her even five years on
Not that I'd ever forget the date, but it was the day after Kennedy's anniversary.

My mom's birthday is November 22nd. My dad held out for 2 more days. I'd like to think he did it for her.
