I never thought I'd see the day when I'd call Bill Maher "awesome". But that day has come.
While driving on the freeway today, I got a lane departure warning even though I was in the lane and had to fight with my steering wheel for about half a second. I did notice that some of the painted lane strips were crooked. Would that have affected the lane detector?

My car does that sometimes. If there are other markings on the road (artificial or otherwise) it can definitely throw off the detection system. So even if I absolutely did not stray from my line, the car will think I did.

Been looking at exercise equipment reviews and it's disappointing to see the number of websites with "reviews" that are just glorified press releases with referral links to websites that they hope you will use to purchase the item. It's most obvious when they're talking about no-name Chinese equipment that are being sold on Amazon. And this is being done with tons and tons of different products.
Almost definitely.. The system is a much more sophisticated version of the line follower routine. Crooked lines would have thrown it out of whack.

Randomly came across a YouTube video where the creator discusses Andy Serkis being the first actor to have two different major roles in Star Wars, not counting cameos, and the commenters all try to prove him wrong by bringing up repeat actors who have had bit parts and cameos.
So it turns out the asterism I'd been calling the "Little-er Dipper" for lack of a better name all these years was the Pleiades all along. Way to go, Birdbrain.
