Quick! 10 new Trek shows!!

I haven't read anything here....so as to not influence my thinking. So, if any of this is repetitive or similar to what's already been typed....I apologize. I purposefully skipped straight to typing to keep it pure. And, btw, no way am I going to come up with 10 completely new entries...

Also- some are full series, some are mini-series, and some are live action vs. animated.

Star Trek: End of History
Live action
Full Series (10-13 episodes, serialized)
A post- TUC show, set immediately after the events of the film. The series bounces between the Federation, Klingon Empire, Romulan Empire and a Federation Starship assigned to the Diplomatic Corps and deals with the "post-cold war" environment and how the relationships, tensions, and politics between these superpowers develop / grow / falter...how various worlds and stakeholders in each entity react or are affected, etc. A rich, serialized exploration of various cultures during a "turning point in galactic history."

Star Trek: Lost Era
Animated
Full Series (10-13 episodes, episodic)
An animated series set aboard the USS Enterprise in the days / years between Star Trek: The Motion Picture and Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. Uses the designs and aesthetics of TMP. Kind of "TAS" for the modern era.

Star Trek: Lorca
Live Action
Mini Series (2-3 episodes, serialized)
Explores the "Prime" and "Mirror" characters of Gabriel Lorca, cutting between universes, showing the crossover event, and showing what happened to each as they initially found themselves in a new universe.

Star Trek: Do No Harm
Live Action
Full Series (10-13 episodes, episodic/procedural)
Medical procedural, set on a hospital / search-and-rescue starship, fighting exotic plagues, viruses, and general traumatic incidents across the Alpha Quadrant's colonies, starships, and starbases.

Star Trek: Parallels
Animated
Full Series (10-13 episodes, episodic)
Star Trek meets Sliders. A small away-team from a 25th century star ship finds themselves (through technobabble anomaly of your choice) moving between infinite parallel universes through time and space and getting into interesting and whacky adventures throughout Trek history and featuring Trek legacy characters at times.

Star Trek: Legacy
Animated
Recurring Mini-Series (2-4 episodes, serialized)
The biography documentary of Star Trek's most popular legacy characters in animation, focusing on early life and unseen events. One or two per year on various selected characters (Kirk, Picard, Janeway, Sisko, Spock, Data, etc)

Star Trek: To The Stars
Live Action
Full Series (10-13 episodes, serialized)
Prequel to ENT, set in the decades after Zephram Cochrane's historic flight. Show will showcase humanity's struggles to find itself a place amongst an intergalactic community while recovering from a global war, and also involve personal stories of the engineers and pioneers who design, build and test Earth's first warp-capable exploration ships (think The Right Stuff...but in the Trek universe).

Star Trek presents: Yor - Warrior from the Future
Follows the story of Yor, an alien from humble beginnings whose recruited as a time soldier to fight in the Temporal War.
The theme can be a cover of this song.

Okay, 10 REALISTIC Shows, I would like to see (Academy, Khan, Section 31 are already on the list):

1. Star Trek - The Captain Sulu Adventures (Mini Series 2-4 Episodes)
It's the last chance, to give George Takei his own show. The final mission of the USS Excelsior in the 2330ies. With Walter Koenig as Chakov, maybe on a secret mission, joining Sulus crew. Nichelle Nichols is not in the condition anymore, to be part of the show, maybe a little cameo.

2. Star Trek - Temporal War (Full series)
A time ship from the 28./29. century fighting in the temporal war, traveling through history, with a few crossovers with other Star Trek Shows.

3. Star Trek - The House of Martok (Full Series)
A Game of Thrones like klingon show on Qo'noS. Chancellor Martok is a member of a relativ small, unimportant house (as Kor said). Now he is Chancellor of the klingon empire. Many other houses try to gain power. At the same time, Martok has to lead the empire, fighting wars.... With guest appearances of Michael Dorn af Worf and other known klingons.

4. Star Trek - Mirror Universe (Full Series)
The EVIL side of Star Trek. TOS, DS9 and DSC show us alternate versions of known characters. There would be a big potential in such a show.

5. Star Trek - Titan (Full Series)
After Picard, Riker & Troi return to Starfleet, and Riker takes back the Titan (or another ship).

6. Star Trek - Holodeck Adventures (Anthology Series)
Every week another story with other (established) characters playing an adventure on the holodeck. See again Tom & Harry against Chaotica, Picard as Dixon Hill, A Vic Fontaine Story... And because it's just on the holodeck, not every story needs a happy end.

7. Star Trek - Gary Seven / Assignment Earth (Full Series)
Roddenberry originally planned this show for the character of Gary Seven, travelling through history, making sure the best for mankind (and other planets). Maybe a little bit like Doctor Who...

8. Star Trek / Doctor Who Crossover (Mini Series)
Star Trek and Doctor who are different universes, but the doctor could enter the Star Trek Universe, meeting different established crews through time.

9. Star Trek - The lives of Dax (Full series / Anthology)
Ezri Dax as narrator, remembering chapters of her own live and the lives of her former host. Storys through 200 years of federation history. And maybe some future Dax.

AAAAAAND......
10. Star Trek - Pon Farr ;) (R-rated full series)
To boldly f*ck where no one has f*cked before
The USS Pon Farr exploring the sex live of alien cultures. Nude betazoid weddings, brutal Klingon sex that ends on sickbay, crazy illogical vulcans in their pon farr, orion sex slaves, ferengi women living naked, the sex life of bolian and denobulan group marriages.....
[This is from a german fan fiction project with more than 100 such stories]

You're Alex Kurtzman. You've spent the past few years rebuilding the Star Trek brand. New shows have been announced. More are in the pipeline. Life is good.

BUT NOW. Disney announces 10 new Star Wars and 10 new Marvel series'. CBS calls you into a darkened office and asks how you're going to compete. Discovery, Picard, Lower Decks, Strange New Worlds, Section 31, Prodigy, Starfleet Academy, 1992. They're not enough. They want ten more Star Trek shows and they want them now. What do you pitch?

1 Starfleet Academy: follow cadets going through the academy sometime in the 24th century
2 Captain Garth: his rise and - if the show runs long enough - fall
3 Gary 7: I'd like to see those adventures Spock was talking about (aside from the comics and novels I've already read)
4 Shackleton: explore the expanse!
5 DTI: adventures in space AND time
6 KDF: let's see what the Klingons are up to
7 USS fill in the blank (maybe even the Enterprise...F? G?): a modern Trek in the classic exploration/adventure mode...I know we're getting Strange New World, but this can be the early - mid 25th century version (no prequelitus, renewed focus on exploration after the Dominion War, Borg attacks and all the events from Picard, the novels and STO are in the rear view)
8 Starfleet Intelligence: after the fall of Section 31, Starfleet Intelligence feels the pressure to show their way can keep the Federation safe: Mission Impossible style good guy spies battling to hang onto their souls
9 War Stories: anthology series telling stories from various wars (Dominion War, Cardasian border wars, Four Years War, Klingon War after the Battle of the Binary Stars, Sphere Builders attempted 26th century incursion, Iconian War, Borg encounters, WWIII, Eugenics War, Temporal Cold War, Earth/Romulan War...)
10 Home Among the Stars: following the formation of a new Federation colony

I guess I'll dust my two trek ideas from years past

Deep Space Voyager the Next Generation (Kelvin Universe in the 24th Century)
An epic multi-POV, arc based series in the mode of Game of Thrones.
  • Deep Space Nine- Formerly an orbital Cardassian ore processing station, the Bajoran Provisional Government has turned it over to Starfleet to serve as the base of operations for the defense and exploration of the Bajor Sector and beyond. In addition to Starfleet and the Bajoran Militia, there is a large civilian population on the station that includes Bajorans, Starfleet dependents and other foreign nationals.
    • Commodore Benjamin Sisko- Starfleet Commander for the Bajoran Sector. Sisko is veteran of the Cardassian Wars. His wife, Jennifer and son, Jake live with him on DS9, but he has misgivings about them being so close to the Cardassian border.
    • Lt. Commander Tuvok- Starfleet Intelligence. Tuvok oversees various on ongoing SI operations in the sector. Some of which might be above Sisko's "pay grade”.
    • Commander Katherine Pulaski- Chief Medical Officer. A veteran officer with strong opinions, she's often a thorn in the side of Sisko and his unofficial conscience. She's also fond of needling Tuvok and has a low opinion of "spies”.
    • Lt. Commander Data- Chief Operations Officer. An android. Data oversees keeping the station running. Given its blend of Federation, Cardassian and Bajoran technology it is a task that keeps Data busy around the clock. Not needing sleep, he is well suited for the task. As an android wishing to become more "human" Tuvok finds him fascinating.
    • Colonel Kira Nerys- Bajoran Liaison Officer. Kira was a member of the Bajoran Resistance during the Cardassian Occupation. She is still wanted in the Cardassian Union for terrorism. She coordinates activities that involve Starfleet and the Bajoran Militia.
    • Constable Odo- Chief of Law Enforcement for the station. A shapeshifter of unknown origin, Odo was raised on the station by Bajorans. He is strongly attached to the station and sees it as his only home. While nominally in charge of civilian law enforcement, Sisko likes to use Odo for Starfleet related operations as well.
    • Quark- A Ferengi merchant who runs a casino on DS9's promenade. He is also heavily involved in various criminal activities in the sector. As such, he and Odo have an adversarial relationship.
    • Garak- A Cardassian tailor who runs a shop on the promenade. He is the only Cardassian still on the station. His reasons for staying are currently a mystery. Though Tuvok certainly has a few ideas.
    • Dukat - A Gul in the Cardassian military. Dukat is the former Prefect of Bajor and presided over the transition from the Cardassian Union to the Bajoran Provisional Government. Currently he is the military commander for the Cardassian territory adjacent to the Bajor Sector. He would very much like to be Prefect of Bajor again.

  • The USS Enterprise- A Galaxy class vessel, the Enterprise is the newest and most advanced ship in Starfleet. Its primary mission is establishing diplomatic relations with the new worlds beyond Bajor. Its staff includes a large diplomatic team.
    • Captain Jean-Luc Picard- The ship's Commanding Officer. Picard is a man weary of war. The prospect of commanding a mission of exploration and diplomacy has kept him Starfleet. He sees a new war on the horizon and is making every effort to change course.
    • Lt. Commander Chakotay- The ship's Executive Officer. Chakotay's homeworld was on the frontlines of the Cardassian Wars and now lies in Cardassian territory. He's not happy being on a ship whose objective includes "making nice" with the Cardassians.
    • Ambassador Deanna Troi- The sector's Chief Diplomatic Officer, she divides her time between DS9 and the Enterprise. As a civilian, she's not always greeted with open arms by Starfleet. Her goals are often at odds with Commodore Sisko's, the sector's military commander. Picard is more open minded and she prefers the Enterprise to DS9
    • Lt. B'Elanna Torres- The ship's half Klingon Chief Engineering Officer. She served with Chakotay in the Cardassian Wars and shares his views on making peace with them.
    • Lt. Commander Beverly Crusher - The ship's Chief Medical Officer. The widow of Jack Crusher, Picard's former XO and closest friend. Her son is in Starfleet and she worries about his future.
    • Ensign Ro Laren- The ship's Flight Control Officer. Born in a Bajoran refugee camp she's never been to Bajor before this assignment. She's at odds with native born Bajorans, who see the refugees as cowards who chose to flee rather than fight

  • The USS Defiant- A Defiant class light cruiser. Its primary mission is defense of the station and the Bajor system. It serves as the flagship for the commander of DS9. The Defiant is a warship, part of the legacy of the Cardassian Wars. Its crew is small and most are experienced combat officers.
    • Commander William T. Riker- The Defiant's Commanding Officer. Riker comes across as a genial sort, quick with a joke and a twinkle in his eye. He's also known to have an eye for the ladies. In a combat situation, he's all business. A clever commander with a trick or two up his sleeve.
    • Lt. Commander Elizabeth Shelby- The ship's Executive Officer. She's all business, all the time and isn't afraid to speak her mind if she thinks Riker (or anyone else) is wrong. She has high standards and if she had her way the crew would be drilling around the clock.
    • Lt. Worf- The ship's Klingon tactical officer. On a ship the size of the Defiant, tactical includes flight control. He respects Riker and admires Shelby.
    • EMH- Experimental Medical Hologram. A new technology currently being tested on the Defiant. It's inventor, Dr. Louis Zimmerman is on board overseeing the test. (or is he?)
    • Lt. Ezri Tigan- Medical Officer. Tigan is Combat Field Medic and provides backup for the EMH. An unjoined Trill, who's not on the candidate list, she lives life to the fullest.
    • Lt. Geordi La Forge- The ship's Chief Engineering Officer. Blinded in the Cardassian War, La Forge can interface with the ship's systems through his VISOR, a device that enables him to see. As such he feels and senses what the ship does. At times this seems to cut him off from his crewmates and he wonders if he is losing his humanity.
    • Ensign Harry Kim- Operations Officer. A rookie right out of the academy he's in awe of these "heroes”.

  • The USS Voyager- An Intrepid class scout ship. Its primary mission is science and exploration. Most of its crew are in the Science division and the rest is comprised of young officers, some just out of the Academy. Because of this, the ship has been nicknamed "The School Bus". Voyager spends most of its time away from the Bajor Sector in unexplored territory.
    • Commander Kathryn Janeway- The ship's Commanding Officer. Formerly in the Science Division, this is Janeway's first command. For her the thrill of the "hunt" is what drives her. She needs to know what's behind the next nebula and beyond the farthest star.
    • Lt. Commander Jadzia Dax- The ship's Executive Officer and Chief Science Officer. A joined Trill, Dax can call upon decades of experience from her previous hosts. Which is at odds with her youthful appearance. A close friend of Sisko in her previous host, he still calls her "The Old Man". A name that followed her to Voyager.
    • Chief Petty Officer Miles O'Brien- The ship's Chief Engineer. The real old man aboard the ship, he has a decade on most of the crew. A veteran of the Cardassian Wars, He's one of Janeway's trusted advisors and a father figure to the younger crewmen. (Just don't tell him that). His wife, Keiko, lives on DS9.
    • Lt. Julian Bashir- The ship's Chief Medical Officer. Young, inexperienced and on his first deep space mission, Bashir is out of his element and tries to cover it up with bravado. O'Brien has taken him under his wing.
    • Ensign Wesley Crusher- Operations Officer. A gifted young man, Crusher completed Starfleet Academy in record time. He's the youngest member of the crew and very aware of this, as such he is over eager to prove himself. His mother is the CMO on the Enterprise.
    • Lt. Tasha Yar- The Ship's Chief Security Officer. Growing up as an orphan on failed colony where every day was a fight for survival, Yar feels out of place on a ship full of scientists and overachievers.
    • Lt. Tom Paris- Flight Control Officer. Paris is onboard the Voyager as a favor to Admiral Owen Paris, Janeway's former CO. Paris has been a disciplinary problem (and embarrassment to his father) in the past. Voyager is his "last chance”.
This dates back to turn of the Century but has been updated over the years
STAR TREK CAPTAIN APRIL

THE SETTING
  • The Time- 2245, twenty years before James T. Kirk will assume command of the USS Enterprise
  • The Galaxy- The Federation has been in existence for eighty-four years. A disastrous first contact has made the Klingon Empire an adversary . The Romulans have not been in contact since the war in 2156.Orion pirates plague the space ways, attacking and looting ships and colonies. The Vulcans, while supportive of the Federation, are wary of Starfleet and actively oppose its expansion. Most of the Alpha Quadrant remains unexplored; space is the final frontier.
  • The Ship- USS Enterprise NCC-1701, Constitution Class Starship. The newest of twelve ships in this class, with three more currently under construction. Six of the ships are Cherokee class vessels upgraded to Constitution specs. One is a Constitution prototype upgraded to the final Constitution specs. The Enterprise has a crew complement of 220. It is armed with lasers and photon torpedoes. This is it's first five year mission. Since it is twenty years prior the Kirk era, the ship may look somewhat different internally and externally, but should be identifiable as the same Enterprise from the original Star Trek series. When the Constitution class ship design proved successful and was completed ahead of schedule Starfleet decided to upgrade the last of the Cherokee class ships still under construction to Constitution specs and modify several existing Cherokee class ships as well. A previous prototype for the Constitution class, NX 1697 was also upgraded to the final Constitution class specifications as well.
THE CREW
  • CAPTAIN ROBERT APRIL- April was born on the New Tasmania Colony. New Tasmania is rich in dilithium and April’s family worked in the mines hoping to strike it rich. At seventeen April signed up with Starfleet as a means to escape the colony and after fourteen years had risen to the rank of chief petty officer. While April was serving aboard the USS Apollo, the ship’s commander was injured and the senior officers were killed during a skirmish with a Klingon vessel. The captain gave Chief April a battlefield promotion to lieutenant and placed him in command. April defeated the Klingons and got the ship to safety. Afterwards April was sent to Officer’s Candidate School and received a commission. As an officer, April served on a variety of ships, eventually commanding the USS Sequoia, his last assignment before the Enterprise. April is the first officer to command a Starship who did not graduate from the Academy. His command style is a bit unorthodox by Academy standards. He’s a very hands on type of commander, preferring to be in the middle of the action and forging one on one relationships with his crew. If there’s a problem he’s more likely to roll up his sleeves and pitch in rather than stand around delegating. Not being an Academy man, he’s not part of the “old boy network” and many of his fellow officers view him as an outsider.
  • COMMANDER HIRO NOGURA- Nogura is the ship's First Officer. His family can trace their history of military service back to Japanese samurai warriors. His grandmother was a member of Starfleet Academy’s first graduating class in 2165. His mother and father are former Starfleet officers and currently serve in the governments of the Federation and Earth. They look upon Starfleet as a stepping stone to a political career and have groomed Hiro for a future in government. He is torn between doing what his family wants or following his own desires and staying in Starfleet. Nogura is a by the book officer, who is at times shocked by April’s unorthodox decision making. April values his advice, even if he doesn't always follow it. A workaholic, Nogura takes great pride in a well-run ship and a highly competent crew. The crew see him as tough but fair. Nogura is skilled in diplomacy and is a regular landing party member. He was born on Starbase 4, but was raised in Paris, France on Earth.
  • LT. COMMANDER ZLEV- Zlev, an Andorian, is the ship’s tactical/security officer. He served with April aboard the Sequoia and was April’s first choice as First Officer, but was overruled by Starfleet Command. He also serves as the ship’s second officer. A member of the Andorian warrior caste, Zlev is an expert in the martial arts and master of weapons ranging from a sling shot to a laser cannon. He is also an accomplished poet and musician. Slender and soft spoken, he is often underestimated by opponents unfamiliar with Andorians. Like all Andorians Zlev was part of a group called a triad, the other two members of his triad were, killed leaving Zlev alone. This is what prompted Zlev to join Starfleet.
  • LT. COMMANDER SAHAR GOLDMAN- Goldman is head of the science department and serves as Science Officer and Ship’s Surgeon. A child prodigy, Goldman graduated medical school at the age of sixteen and went on to earn degrees in physics, biology, astronomy, psychology and chemistry. Finding life on Earth unchallenging she enrolled in Starfleet Academy, hoping that the exploration of space would fulfill her needs. She has thrived in the environment of Starfleet, where she can use her skills and knowledge at their utmost levels. An expert in xenobiology, she is a member of all first contact landing parties. She has assumed a mentoring role with Lt. Garcia, with whom she feels a certain empathy and Ensign Llewellyn who needs to focus her boundless energy. April values her vast scientific knowledge, though they often clash on a personal level. Goldman was born in the Middle East on Earth and is primarily of Ethiopian/Israeli decent. ”.
  • LT. CHRISTOPHER PIKE- Pike is the ship’s helmsman and is one of a new breed of officers who admire April and other “wild card” commanders. He is a protégé of April's, who feels he will make an excellent senior officer-if he can learn to trust his instincts. His abilities and devotion to duty has earned the respect of Nogura and Zlev. Moqs treats him and most junior officers like he was fresh out of the academy. Pike is willing to risk his life to safe guard the captain, the ship or a fellow crew member, but is not foolhardy. Focused on his career, he is oblivious to the fact that many crew members find him attractive, including Lt. Garcia and Ensign Llewyllen. Pike was born in the town of Mojave on Earth. (This doesn't quite work any more)
  • CHIEF MOQS- Moqs is from Tellar and is April’s oldest friend. They have served together on various ships, including the Apollo and the Sequoia. The senior chief in engineering, Moqs pretty much runs the department for the Engineering Officer, who prefers administrative type duties. One of the positions Moqs has held in his long career in Starfleet was a drill instructor at Starfleet’s boot camp for enlisted personnel at Parris Island. He runs his department like a boot camp and many crew members view temporary duty in engineering as something to be avoided.
  • LIEUTENANT j.g. MARGARET “Maggie” GARCIA- Garcia is in charge of communications and operations (comm/ops) for the ship. Tall and muscular she tends to stand out in a crowd, but is actually very shy.. Her ancestors were the genetically enhanced “supermen” who started the Eugenics Wars. She is smarter, faster and stronger than the average human, but she tries to hide this by acting clumsy and being quiet. Maggie is part of a program, headed by Dr. Goldman, to integrate Eugenics with main stream humans. Like many Eugenics, Maggie takes drugs to control the various psychosis caused by enhancement. Dr. Goldman feels a certain empathy with Maggie and was instrumental in getting her assigned to the Enterprise. Zlev is impressed by Maggie’s physical abilities and keeps trying to recruit her into security. He is puzzled by the negative reactions humans have towards Eugenics. His people have always practiced a form of eugenics. Her roommate is Ensign Llwellyn, who is constantly trying to “bring her out of her shell”. April finds the presence of a Eugenic in his crew to be unsettling. His ancestors, like most humans, suffered greatly at the hands of the Eugenics during the war. Garcia, like many women on board has a crush on Pike. Pike views her as a highly competent fellow officer. Garcia was born in Mexico on Earth.
  • ENSIGN GUINEVERE “Lou” LLWELLYN- Llwellyn is the ship’s navigation officer. Fresh out of the Academy, the Enterprise is her first assignment. She is outgoing, enthusiastic and eager to please. She is in awe of Captain April and has a crush on Pike. Curious about non-human cultures she often crosses the line of tactfulness with Zlev, Moqs and other aliens on board. April, Nogura and Goldman are trying to focus her energy. A "Starfleet brat", Llwellyn was born in space and has lived on various colony worlds, starbases and alien planets. Her four years at the academy were the longest time she has spent on one planet. Her mother is an admiral, currently assigned to Starfleet Headquarters.

ALIENS
  • ANDORIANS- Of the races currently part of the Federation, the Andorians are seen as the most non-human. This is due to their insectiod rather than mammalian evolution. The Andorians are ruled by a matriarchy, but their females are rarely seen by off-worlders. Male Andorians are raised in large groups and each group is divided into sub-groups of three called triads. The triads are closer than brothers and each member is trained to be a warrior. Each triad is also trained in other skills. They might be doctors, scientists, poets, chefs or countless other professions. Upon maturity each triad is bonded to a female Andorian and enters into her service as a warrior and in whatever secondary skill they have trained in. An Andorian woman’s wealth and power is judged by the number of triads she has bonded with. In Andor’s past great wars were fought between rival matriarchs, with millions of triads sacrificing their lives. This deference to females has caused problems with Andorians serving in Starfleet who are in units commanded by females. The government on Andor is the Matriarchal Council, headed by the Grand Matriarch. Though slender in appearance and soft spoken, Andorians posses great strength and their bodies are covered with a tough exoskeleton that protects them from most physical harm. Andorians have a high regard for poetry and music. Most of their history is told in epic poems and song, which are memorized and performed by triads trained in those arts.
  • TELLARITES - Tellarites love to argue, or so most other Federation members like to think. They are very blunt and speak their minds, with little thought for the consequences. This can make negotiations with them very difficult. A very proud people, they feel the Tellarite civilization to be superior to all others. Family is very important and monogamy is the common practice. Archly conservative, they are wary of new ideas. Joining the Federation was a controversial decision and many Tellarites are still opposed to Federation membership. Their government is based on the democratic republic model. Debate is a popular pastime. Prior to the founding of the Federation, Tellar and Andor fought a long bitter war and distrust still exists between the two worlds.
  • ORION PIRATES- The Orions are a criminal organization, not an alien race. The first Orion pirates were composed of remnants of the fallen Orion civilization and with the invention of warp drive spread their criminal organization throughout the galaxy. Most of the illegal activity in two quadrants can be traced to the Orion organization. While Orions still dominate the organization, all sentient species are welcome. The typical crew of an Orion ship may include Rigellians, Humans, Klingons and countless other species. Federation Intelligence believes, but cannot prove, that the Orions control the governments of Rigel V, Rigel II and Rigel VII. Many independent space stations are fronts for Orion smuggling and slavery operations. Orion captains and their ships are known for their boldness—often attacking ships, space stations and even planets who are seemingly their superior. Their ships are very deceiving. What externally looks like a merchant ship may actually posses the fire power to take on a starship and the speed to out run it.
  • RIGELLIANS- The Rigel System is one of the most populated areas of the Federation. It contains several planets that support sentient life and one planet rich in dilithium crystals.
Rigel II is known for its gaming and entertainment facilities. Most of these are owned by wealthy merchants from Rigel V.
Rigel III Home to a sentient species noted for having five genders.
Rigel IV is a colony of Rigel V and the source of political unrest. The inhabitants wish to be recognized as an independent world.
Rigel V is well known for it’s vast merchant fleets and opulent lifestyle, which detractors attribute to the Orion Pirates. It’s inhabitants may be related to the Vulcans, but lack their telepathic skills and devotion to logic. They tend to enjoy life and are a boisterous, loud people who love fine food, fine clothes and other trappings of wealth. Like the Orions, the Rigellians readily welcome off-worlders into their society and many have migrated there, attracted by the opulent life style.
Rigel VI Home to the Chelons, descended from race of saber-toothed turtles, learned to walk upright. Range from five nine to seven feet and over. Unisex. Lay eggs. Real power is with attendants who serve, feed, and care for them.
Rigel VII was used as a prison for the Rigel System for many centuries. Over one hundred years ago the prisoners rioted and took over the planet. Society there has regressed to a medieval level and the planet is under strict quarantine by the Rigellian government.
Rigel X Home to vast Rigellian trading complex.
Rigel XII is a barely habitable planet at the edge of the system. Rich in dilithium, the planet is home to hundreds of miners hoping to make their fortunes.

Jurrasic Galaxy: the Voth, a species that evolved from dinosaurs and travelled to the delta quadrant millions of years ago, have finally returned to Earth! With some fancy alien genetic manipulation, they revive their once-extinct dinosaur relatives, and give them all warp technology... And, the newly awakened dinosaur descendants will be wanting their own homeworlds soon.

Ripper: aboard the USS Discovery, an inexplicably gigantic tardigrade, Ripper, has been piloting the ship through a vast mycelium network at otherwise-unattainable speeds. Although it takes a hostile takeover at first, the tardigrade earns the respect it deserves, getting promoted to captain and earning the loyalty of the crew. But when the tardigrade captain learns that its species is meant to be microscopic, it wants to shrink down to a more appropriate size, and Captain Ripper takes the whole ship along with it.

  9. Starfleet LEGAL!- Legal drama focusing on the JAG office on Starbase 11.
  10. SpecOps- Superhero action. A Betazoid telepath. A speedster from Scalos. A android beauty from Exo-III. A shapeshifting Venbdorian. A telekinetic from Platonis. A Horta from Janus IV. These special operatives protect the Federation form all forms of threats.

1. Delta Flyers. Harry Kim has to move in with Captains Tom and B'Elanna as a condition of his probation for punching an admiral after being passed over for a promotion to Lieutenant JG.

2. Starfleet Medical. Every episode is Beverly Crusher finding two planets who won't share a vaccine.

3. Corps of Engineers. O'Brien gripes about his wife while La Forge just wishes he had someone to go to dinner with. Sonya Gomez repeatedly throws herself at Geordi but he is too dumb to realize.

4. A House Divided. After Alexander's wife dies in a transporter accident leaving behind eight kids, the Rozhenko child moves in with his father for emotional support.

Some ideas I'd actually really like to see:

1)Sat Trek: the Hidden Years. Set right after ST VI onboard whichever Enterprise was active at that point, with a new crew. It's a sci-fi allegory for a re-examination of the 1990-2001 period in Western History. As such the Enterprise would probably deal with the balkanization of part of the Klingon Empire, with tensions flaring up between Klingon splinter groups as well as species that have just regained their independence after decades/centuries of Klingon rule. Also the Romulans are doing shady things behind the scenes. Preferably a female captain as main character.

2)Star Trek: Brave New World: Details the lives and tribulations of Federation colonists on an exotic planet in the far reaches of space. They try to survive in their new environment and encounter neighbouring civilizations as well as a subterranean civilization that lives right under their feet. Sometimes there's conflict, sometimes there's cooperation.
Themes are family, community and cultural mingling.

3)Star Trek: Stardust City Stories) Set on Freecloud and tells the story of people living there. Some of the centrla characters could be law enforcement, people entangled with organized crime and common people just trying to survive.

4) Star Trek: Beyond the Horizon) A trippy/phillosophical show set on a Starfleet Generation vessel that was sent to reach the Andromeda Galaxy. At the start of the series the ship has been in intergalactic space for over a century. Explores themes of isolation, metaphysics and the human condition.

Can't sleep. Let's see what I can come up with for some serious choices.

1. Seven of Nine Series --> She should get her own spin-off.
2. The Burn --> The Federation in the immediate aftermath of The Burn.
3. Post-First Contact Earth --> In 2063, different nations react in their own way to the Vulcans.
4. Mirror Universe --> Yeah, so what? This is my list.
5. Klingon Series --> See above.
6. DS9 Phase II --> Self-explanatory.
7. Ancient Alpha Quadrant --> The Quadrant before Earth came into the picture.
8. Relativity --> Might as well have a series about wacky time-travel.
9. Starfleet Command --> Pre-Burn. Might as well have a series focusing on this.
10. Starfleet Academy --> Why not? I need to finish this list and this idea's been around forever.

2. The Burn --> The Federation in the immediate aftermath of The Burn.

I would watch it.

I'm just not sure how it would work. Would it be basically be Riverdale but set in a space academy? If so, again, I would probably watch it.

With the Seven Spinnoff it would depend on the other characters and the plot. Seven is a cool character and she was badass in Picard, but it would depend on what she does in the show and who they'd surround her with.

Honestly, this is still an idea I really like. I have read most of the Academy series and enjoyed them all. Having a new cadre of cadets and getting to explore the galaxy sounds like the perfect way to introduce a new era of Star Trek and allow the cadets to be the viewer's point of view.

I can hear the complaints about angst and relationship drama already. But being towards the end of a TNG rewatch, I think such a show would fit right in. I'm also reading the BTS stuff for each episode on MA and half the time they seem to come up with a SF "B" plot to justify it being Star Trek

That would be the reasons I'd watch it for . I love stuff where SciFi/Fantasy/a historical period is just window dressing to some over-dramatic interpersonal drama and angst!

Nothing annoyed me more than whenever they diluted a perfectly serviceable character piece by ham-fistedly jamming a sci-fi plotline in there just because "it's expected."
