I'm sure there are still things that could convince you to return to those days =p
I got close in the deaf/signing thread.

Are these sisters, nieces, cousins, a mix? How many are we talking here? They sound quite progressive.
And if you claim the coppers are as corrupt as you say they are, why did he take your bullshit in the first place? He's corrupt!
It's not even a GOOD story...
He has a history of being outlandish, mostly with him coming out on top as a tough guy. This really isn't about Americans vs foreigners.
Not really...If there's a cop car behind you flashing its lights, just pull over anyway. Much easier that way - always pull over for a cop, regardless of light color.
If they're after someone else, they'll ignore you and keep going. Once the cop car's ahead of you, then you can return to your driving.

That sounds very lovely. So, are you the quirky uncle who sends cool presents, or the grouch who only watches sports? Are these sisters, nieces, cousins, a mix? How many are we talking here? They sound quite progressive.
Sara's mother left the UK and married a Swede when she was 22. She has two older sisters who live in Birmingham and London with their husbands and have one kid each. Their parents (Sara's grandparents) still live in the Manchester. Plus add any friends of the family.
Make up stories about sticking it to The Man?Well I think you're great. This is the funniest thread I've read in quite a while.

I do this for a living, what did you expect me to drive, a Yaris?
Do what for a living?
Well, you SHOULD be apologizing for being born.I don't think even he knows what he's saying any more.
The rest of us don't stand a chance.
Well, I sincerely apologize for my nativity.

Why? Ambulances have the same lights as coppers. I don't have to pull over for them when they flash blue. Hell emergency medical transports like more or less identical to a cop car if you're far enough away from it. If everyone pulled over for a blue light you'd clog the roads within seconds.

Besides, the issue was that he was tailgating me so closely that if i made the slightest mistake, say i shifted into the wrong gear, he would've hit me. Its illegal, reckless, stupid and dangerous. There is a reason you're supposed your keep your distance.
Anyone else thinking the "one colour light, get out of the way, we're after someone else, another colour light, its you we're targeting, stop" system is a really good idea...

My point is, surely it would be easier to simply pull over for all cops who are flashing lights at you - if they want you, then you're already stopped if they don't, then they'll go by and you can go. Wouldn't this be easier than trying to remember which light color means stop and which doesn't?
It's not like everyone is that skilled. I'm certainly not.

In Illinois you have to pull over, but that's always in town. I have no idea if the laws are different for the highway. I don't think I've ever encountered an emergency vehicle on the highway that had its lights flashing. As for ambulances, we don't have to pull OVER for them, just change lanes so they can get by.
