Propstore auction for Disco

Sad how quickly they went for the nuclear option of dismantling the sets and the equivalent of having a yard sale...

Thinking back to Enterprise's cancellation and the end of an 18 year run, it was well over a year until the Christie's auction and another few months until the bridge sets - which had been segmented and left outside on the lot in all weathers - were bulldozed.

Discovery ended years ago.

I really want to buy something but I do not really want an outfit and everything kind of small is already expensive. :(

It is too bad we will not get something like this for SNW or SFA.

Turns out the SFA one already happened:
Nobody wanted a turbolift?:(

And here is the upcoming auction with a mix of SNW, Disco and SFA:

there are some odd things in that second auction (which also includes SFA items), like a partially disassembled boat motor.

it might be cool to have that desk or something, but then even if i won i would probably have to pay for shipping and arrange transport, figure out how to get it through the door...

As Star Trek dies once again, Paramount are selling off all the Discovery and Short Treks costumes and props. Bidding open until May 12 and a lot of stuff hasn't been bid on yet.

This has little to do with "Star Trek dying" though, which is a debatable claim anyway as I don't believe there's not going to be some announcement to be made or road map to be presented in the 60th anniversary year. There have been a number of such auctions in recent years, many at Propstore. One previous one for Discovery, ca. after season 2. Same for Picard. In fact, many TV shows that have ended production do such auctions: Westworld, The Crown, Succession, Watchmen, Curb Your Enthusiasm are just some of those that I personally participated in (and won some cool stuff for the collection) and some of which happened mere months after the final episodes aired.
