Production Quality Of Picard

the costuming is boring and 20th century conventional clothing. Picards walking around with regular button shirts, belts and zippers straight out of a Walmart. It looks cheap and dumb. TOS while not perfect tried to at least make the clothing look like it was futuristic. Picard doesn’t even try.

So in other words, it’s time to lock this idiotic thread that you created specifically to be negative about the show, since you have no intentions of changing your tune, and instead just feel the need to repeat yourself ad nauseum.

Seriously, why don’t you just put “I hate Star Trek: Picard” in your signature and be done with it?

Why do some hang around forums when they don't like the subject.

Others have expressed that certain aspects are not to the their liking but they don't go on about it.

Seems odd to me.

When it comes to clothing Narek was the best dressed character on the show so another character needs to step up in s2

im a Star Trek and sci fi, horror and fantasy nerd. We complain about everything. It’s our life’s blood.

No, that’s just an excuse to bitch about the show just for the sake of bitching. You aren’t fooling anyone.

Lol! You’ve obviously never been to a Star Trek convention. I’m proud to say I’ve been to several. I’ve seen Nichelle Nichols, Deforest Kelly and Johnathan Frakes to name a few. Those were the pure star trek conventions and yeah we argue and bitch about these things.

Pure...

I'm going to guess there was also discussion about things enjoyed too. OR *gasp* someone might like a different Trek show than someone else...the horror.

No doubt these "pure" Trek conventions involved trial by combat for such effrontery.
I went to some of those same conventions myself, but I'm not quite as impressed with myself as this little rascal over here.

I haven't been to a full Trek con but I have been to general science fiction/fantasy/speculative fiction (SF) conventions. And I can sum up what I learned in three points:
  • People are willing to spend way more money on costuming than I ever will be willing to do.
  • I knew more about Star Trek trivia than the Star Trek writer guest they had.
  • SF fans are just as competitive as any other group.
There was fun debates, and stupid competitions. I can safely say that they were enjoyable but not my top priority.

I’ve been to several. And every one I’ve been to had people on their best behavior, and I’ve certainly seen no one argue about holographic displays or clothing or whatever inane drivel they randomly thought up. You know why? Because people go to those conventions because they love the show, not because they hate it and feel the need to constantly find fault with it. You say you love it too, but your posting history shows otherwise. And before I get cited by a mod for making this personal, I’m going to drop this banter with you because it serves no further purpose and I’ve made my point.

pure trek meaning the creation conventions that basically focused on trek.

And? I stand by my eyeroll. That means jack to me in an online discussion because nonverbal cues are lost. So the incessant complaints don't speak "fan" to me.
Whatever what I’m saying is we all nit picked little things as well as glaring issues with trek. That’s the way it is. Unfortunately Picard has some huge problems and it’s nit just with the holo controls. It’s with the production and overall storyline.

And find things to enjoy. I'd rather enjoy..I've done my nitpicky bs long enough. Time for the new.

I went to eight conventions from 1996 to 2014. Five of them Star Trek, three of them Anime. I went to them to have a good time. Not to complain. And I had a good time each of those times.

But, just so you know, if I go to a Star Trek Convention in the future, I'm wearing a Disco T-Shirt. I'm doing this for the purpose of keeping people who hate New Trek away from me.
