Spoilers Prodigy ship revealed

until Okona shows up on Prodigy I’ll remain convinced that Campbell mixed up his Star Treks and was actually talking about his cameo on LDS.

Except he didn't have a cameo on LD. Okona did, but not Campbell. There was no voice acting involved, nor any plotline involving the "lead female character" idolizing Okona and the "lead male character" getting jealous over it.

McMahan said he had to redesign a character in Lower Decks to match their upcoming appearance on Prodigy. Then Okona (said to be in Prodigy) shows up in Lower Decks with an eye patch.

It has been said to be 2383 by the production people, but there was no date apparent in the first episode, other than "years" after the crash/landing of the Protostar (which almost certainly has to be past 2378). Lots of unanswered questions and oddities with the setting, and there's a growing theory that the 2383 date was a red herring, and the series (based on Episode 1 alone) fits better centuries beyond that.

How do you explain the presence of Captain Chakotay?

Yes...

Could be. The bridge windows are about the same size as the name and registry situated below them. This might be Daedalus-class in size.

Even the Daedalus Class feels too big IMO.

This is what I think the relative scaling should be about:

This was a quick & dirty copy/resize/paste job. So forgive some of the laziness.

The part I focused on was relative size scaling to everybody with a 1 pixel ~= 1 meter.

Yes, I know it's a modification of somebody else's relative scaling chart, I did check to make sure that they got the general gist of the lengths (from bow to stern) to be relatively correct, which they seem to have done.

EDIT: Add in Small Shuttle Craft & La Sirena for size/scale comparisons

It goes without saying that there's going to be Kelvin influences.
Other than the shape of the TOS Enterprise (which is pretty much universally recognized), I believe that the production crew is just going with what's most pertinent in the eyes of the general public, and that would be the most recent movies.

He's an Executive Producer -- his influence will still be felt.
He's also an EP on Lower Decks, I don't see anything like that there.

Not every EP is hands on or influencing things. Some are just there because contractual obligations.

JJ was an EP on Star Trek Beyond, but I believe he was hands off, left everything to Simon Pegg and Justin Lin
