Spoilers Prodigy ship revealed

And that probably establishes something about how ships end up in Delta in general. The abduction beam takes them to a holding area close to the Caretaker's array, and towards the end of his days, there's a long queue. Most ships simply sail as far as they can from that thing right away. Stupid ones go explore the array, and thus may end up lingering long enough that the Caretaker actually sends them back (assuming there's any truth to that rumor about a return ticket in the first place - perhaps he always just vaporized those ships he was done with?).

But it's not really a small-universe thing to say that UFP starships end up in distant places via abductions and wormholes. After all, both are a dime in a dozen as far as we can tell. No real need to involve the Badlands or the Prophets or the Caretaker in this until further evidence surfaces.

Did they always have to disappear from the Badlands?

There is a a theory I read the other day which posits that the Equinox was pulled into the Delta Quadrant from somewhere else in the Alpha Quadrant as an explanation as to why Janeway was unaware of the Equinox going missing. The Caretaker was swiping right all across the galaxy so it stands to reason he wasn't limiting himself to one spot per quadrant.

Indeed.
Though, you have to admit that the Caretaker likely wanted 'some' form of discretion, so he probably wouldn't have swept ships from in front of everyone.
He likely would have picked lone ships far away from others to not rouse suspicion and those 'concealed' by interstellar phenomena (like the badlands).

I wouldn't be shocked if she were the size of a Nova-class like the Equinox or Rhode Island or even a little smaller.

Anyone seen any orthographics of her?
I'd hoped to find some of my own, but nadda so far.

In which case... We try to find decent references in screenshots.

Ummm ... you DO realize the show's target audience is not one for indulging in such minor technical details?

Anything you get out of the Hageman Bros. is a gift.

From the coloring book...

YOU BEAUTY! Utter legend, mate! Thank you.

Top left one is interesting. I think it might be a proper ortho and they've just added the far flapper? That or its in a perspective view of exceedingly weird design.
Either way, this is great!

Edit: Oh, actually... Looking at the front of the flappers on the top right view... Unless their fronts are slightly angled back...

You DO realize this is Star Trek and the majority of the audience will be people over the age of 20 who actually know what Star Trek is and do care about such minor technical details?

"Over the age of 20" and "coloring books.." Interesting.

Also, even if the unintended audience is going to look for the technical details the showrunners are not automatically going to give them out in the first episode. It's ridiculous. Almost as ridiculous as the constant "I know this is a kid's show but..." type posts that go on around here. Yes, it is a kid's show, which means we as the wonderful adult Trek audience members are not going to have the same experience as what is intended by the showrunners.
