Fan manip of Rita with an non warped version of the Green Ranger powers

I think she uses the green power's to fight the rangers but since she wears it the powers are corrupted

Later on she kidnaps a teen and makes him the green ranger.

I dunno... At least one draft of the script was by Zack Stentz and Ashley Miller, the former Andromeda/Sarah Connor Chronicles staffers who are now known for writing Thor and X-Men First Class. So depending on how much of their script gets used, it could potentially be good. On the other hand, a couple of the other writers are known for Dracula Untold, The Last Witch Hunter, and Gods of Egypt, which is less encouraging.
I don't know if it's necessarily the case here, but it amazes me when we see stories where producers or directors seem to be bragging about how they got writers from movies that bombed in theaters and got horrid reviews.

Well, writers have very little control over what gets done to their scripts, and a feature film usually has far more writers than are actually credited. So it's virtually impossible to draw a throughline from the talent of a given credited writer to the quality of the end result, because the only way movie writers can protect their words is if they're also producing or directing the film. Because it's producers and directors who have the actual control, and who basically tell the writers what to write, or bring in other writers to change it to fit the director's or producer's vision. That's why the same writer's name can be attached to both brilliant, successful movies and movies that totally bomb.

So maybe, since writers have no control over the end result, they don't get blamed when a movie bombs. That's more on the director or the producers. I mean, how many actors have been in a lot of bad movies but still keep getting work? It's not like novels where the writer is the sole creator, or TV where the writer-producers are running the show. Movie writers are just part of the team, like the production designers or composers.

18 former power ranger actors get together for new movie

This action packed film follows The Order, an organization whose job is to eliminate violent threats and imminent disasters in secret and to keep humanity safe from complete societal breakdown and maintain world order. Its operatives have faced the worse threats, and much to their surprise, the next threat that they will face is being lead by some of their own.

^Amazing thing about the Power Rangers franchise... It's been around so long that you can easily cast an entire movie with PR veterans.

Though I'm a little disappointed... I thought when I first read your post that you meant the actors would have roles in the Power Rangers feature film.

Hehe, if you look at the stunt performers list for the sizzler, you can see Yoshua Sudarso. Guess he doesn't count as he's technically still a "current" Ranger..?

I honestly wouldn't have noticed the breast plates if no one had said anything. My bigger concern is actually the wedge heels. Those are never practical.

I don't ask for much from this movie; I only request that their standard morph is the Zyuranger circular-arm/buckler flip motion, which was done a couple of times in PR (at least 3 times by Adam!).

Interesting... The Red Ranger's chestplate has areas with the same computer-tracking triangle patterns as on the Putty stunt performers' green suits. So I guess the lights in the chestplates are a digital effect, perhaps with some kind of animation. Or maybe the "hero" suits have actual built-in lighting, but the stunt suits don't. Also interesting how the helmet hinges back. That's surprisingly practical. I imagine they want to have scenes where the actors' faces are visible. (I think I read once that the first MMPR feature film tried giving the helmets clear visors, but it didn't look good, so they abandoned the idea.)

And I wonder what the Putties will look like, if they need to be created by CGI rather than suit performers. Or maybe they're some other kind of monsters.

I was surprised to see the mo-cap markers on the chest plate too. It looked like just a regular light in the promo picture, so there must be more to it if it requires CGI effects.

Like I said, it might just be that the internal lights are left off the stunt suits, since they'd take a lot more of a pounding and need to be lighter.

I guess that would make sense. I wonder if we'll be getting Goldar, Squat and Baboo, Scorpina or Finster?

Zyou The World next month.

The story arc has shades of "Green With Evil" story line from the first season of MMPR

Mondou Misao is kidnapped by the villains and forced to fight the other Zyouhgers

http://zyuohger.tumblr.com

Tired of losing to the Zyuohgers, the Deathgalien owner Ginis decides to take matters into his own hands. In order to even the playing field, Ginis kidnaps a Rhino Zyuman, Wolf Zyuman, and a Crocodile Zyuman. By manipulating their Zyuman Power, Ginis attempts to create his own Zyuohger. He selects Misao Mondō (portrayed by Naoki Kunishima), a normal human captured by Ginis, as the host for the three Zyumans’ power. He succeeds in transforming Misao into Zyuoh the World.

Zyuoh the World’s base form, Rhinos Form, is a balanced fighter with both strength and skill. His secondary form, Wolf Form, is a speed-based form while his tertiary form, Crocodile Form, is a power-based form. He uses the Zyuoh the Light to transform into his forms as well as summon their respective Cube Animals. As Zyuoh the World, Misao is armed with the Zyuoh the Rod weapon, which can transform between rod mode and gun mode. He can also assume his “Wild Huge Release” form, which grants him rhino horn-like shoulder spikes, wolf claws, and a crocodile tail-like whip.

Utilizing all of his abilities, Zyuoh the World easily defeats the Zyuohgers. How can they stand up to him?!

Zyuoh the World’s Cube Animal partners, remodelled by Ginis, are Cube Rhinos, Cube Wolf, and Cube Crocodile. Together, they combine to form Zyuoh Tousai. The Zyuohgers attempt to defeat Zyuoh Tousai with Wild Zyuoh King but are overpowered!
