Post Your Dreams Thread

Some of the ones posted here are fantastic...... IF we had a device that could translate thoughts and stuff into video imagine the fantastic movies that could be produced. Actors, fuck that stuff we could make our own movies and $$$$$

Had a dream where I was in high school band (which I wasn't), had been playing hookey all quarter yet my grade was fine, showed up for the final day of class for some big test and I didn't bring my instrument, but I wasn't the only one who forgot. The students were a combination of people I know now (who I'm pretty sure have no musical abilities) and people I knew from middle school band.

I've had those school dreams too, including being on campus, trying to get to my next class, dropping out of a class I have skipped too many times, and having a variety of classmates from my waking life (coworkers, previous classmates, etc.)

I think it would probably be best not to try and analyze that one.
That's interesting, though.
I dreamed that I was running around with Dr. Who and someone was chasing us. It was all kind of vague and I don't remember many specifics.
Which Doctor?

I had another dream about my husband last night. He was sitting in a chair, smiling at me and I was so happy to see him and told him so. But as I said that, it suddenly came back to me that he shouldn't be there and as I thought that, he faded away. Sigh, it really was good to see him and all happy, too.

I had a dream with my mysterious redhead last night who I know now has a name and it's Yvonne. We were dancing in the middle of a busy mall, never mind the public looking we were so happy, never mind that she is almost a whole foot taller then me too..... It was a fun dream

You know that dream where you're walking down the street naked? I think I just had the opposite of that one. I was sitting in the bathtub with all my clothes on. Including my bathrobe. It felt very... soggy.

^That reminds me of a dream I had a few weeks ago where I tried to flush all my clothes down the toilet. After I did it I thought "oh shit, I needed those!" When I woke up and opened my wardrobe I expected to find all my clothes wet with toilet water. Luckily it was just a dream.

Last night I dreamed that I went back to my old job with the Coast Guard, but someone had taken my desk away and put up a computer stand with shelves instead. I was really angry about it because all my stuff had been messed around. Seemed like old times, fussing about the job.

Does anybody else's brain do that thing in dreams where it creates entire backstories for the strangers that appear in it?

The other night I had a dream involving a neighbor who, in the dream, I had known since we moved in, 16 years ago, when she was 8. she'd grown up playing around our house, watching TV with my wife and keeping her company (at least between the time school got out and I got home), and basically evolving into a super-geek due to our influence.

There is no such neighbor. Never has been. But in the dream she was as familiar as a best friend.

Part of why I feel that in some of my dreams, I'm not so much dreaming as experiencing alternate timelines.

There's no rhyme or reason to what you do and don't dream. I've has dreams so vivid, it took me some time after waking to realize they weren't real.

Not alternate timelines but I do wonder sometimes with dreams whether we're experiencing the lives of alternate versions of ourselves in parallel worlds, sometimes there are things that I just can't explain yet I feel I know what they are and the people I have met, and I feel like I really do know this redhead that keeps hanging out in my dreams she feels real, solid like an actual person I have met at some time.

I just seriously geeked out and dreamed in THREE different fandoms.

Agent 47 is on the run from someone or other, deep in the woods. But who should he run into but Tom Riker, who has hidden from Starfleet by traveling to Earth's past and becoming an Animagus. Problem is... he turned out to be a skunk. I distinctly remember the skunk talking to him in Jonathan Frakes's voice.

No, 47 did NOT kill the skunk. Slaughtering everything in sight is more John Wick's style.

I dreamed I was in a cozy book store, and I was talking to the clerk who also volunteered at an arthouse theater nearby. She was really enthusiastic about this new documentary film that was going to be playing at 8 am the next day.

We used to have a cozy bookstore in the city that was usually open till 10pm but that closed a few years ago.

Bookstore dreams are the worst best dreams. Lots of cool books that disappear...

Yeah the one I used to go to the cozy one had lots of comfy chairs and lights you could use near them to read a book, they were never fussy about people just sitting there looking at the books or reading them, and yeah 10pm was the usual closing time which if you were engrossed was a kind of scary time to walk through the city to get a bus home. I was kind of heartbroken when they closed.
