Post Your Dreams Thread

I dreamed I was at a dinner in a restaurant with a bunch of people I didn't recognize all sitting at other round tables. Suddenly my son and I had a nice pepperoni pizza in front of us (funny, because I don't eat pizza anymore) and he was unhappy because he had ordered beef on it and we didn't see any. Then I lifted up the pizza and found the strips of beef under the pizza. Obviously not a "topping", maybe a "bottoming"? Anyway my son was happy, so I picked up the check and took it to the cashier to pay. A guy I used to work with was running the cash register but he couldn't figure out what the total should be. Then he wandered off and I was left waiting to pay. Then I woke up. Stupid dream, but maybe I was hungry or something.

Food dreams are weird for most people

Just recently I had another recurring dream about being in the old house I grew up in back in the old country.

In those days, most people in the community grew their own crops and had livestock in their backyards. My parents raised some pigs that they would later sell to a butcher.

In my dream, there were two pigs in the pen, and they were extremely emaciated. I later found out that one of them had died of starvation. Poor creatures, I thought, they had been neglected. So I did what I could to give the surviving swine food scraps.

These recurring dreams must have some significant meanings in my waking life.

Another bizarre recurring theme: I find myself wandering in the hallways of a building (a school, an office, etc.) and trying to find the men's restroom to, uh, well, do my business. But the stalls are always occupied, extremely dirty, or facing a big open window with no curtains. Sometimes there are no stalls or partitions, only exposed toilets. I'm reminded of the times I used the men's showers at the gym. The locker room and surrounding areas were crowded, smelly, and filthy.

OMG that redhead I posted about many pages ago was in my dreams again last night only this time she had a nice skirt suit on and was carrying a pile of books while walking next to me.

Wow, I just realized this thread has been around for almost five years now. I was rereading some of the earlier posts. There were also similar "dream" threads, and I recall several recurring themes I've had as far back as 2010.

Yeah it was a fun dream..... Lots of Michael Bay style explosions and stuff. Much fun was had exterminating bad world leaders. But then it was the USA that wanted it done so maybe not such a hot idea..

Maybe someone in your dream stole the quilt when you were not looking.

Today I made a hand held tetris game. Phone pic so sorry its blurry

Cool! Looks like a Pike era communicator

I was in a cave with a smaller, flat but well lit opening in the flat side of the cave. Fog started to come through it. I thought it might be firedamp so I left.

My dreams have been disjointed lately, and I don't recall the details clearly. One night I had a sort of apocalyptic dream wherein people were literally running for the hills to escape either a rampaging Godzilla or King Kong (yes, I saw the movie). At the top of the hill, we could see Kong's head from a distance over the mountain, and an epic fight was about to start. Suddenly, there was this blanket of toxic smoke that came out of nowhere, and everyone tried to find shelter to get away from it. That was all I could remember.

Maybe one of them farted

I was dismissed from my really awful place of work about twenty years ago due to, essentially, not seeing eye to eye with upper management on a few issues (ahem). Quite soon after it turned out to be the cliched 'blessing in disguise' as it led to me finding a much better place to work with all sorts of benefits I'm still enjoying...

...and yet I still get a recurring dream every so often that there's been a mistake and I can go back and, indeed, in the dream I'm back there feeling really happy to be back.

I wake up in a sweat and it takes a few seconds before I realise it wasn't real. I mean, WTF subconscious, who's side are you actually on?

Work dreams are the worst. Triple overtime should be charged to your old company. I’ll take being chased by a monster over work dreams any day. Bite a hand off? Fine. Just don’t annoy me.

Last night i had a dream where I could talk to wild cats about their health and then treat them, everything from topical to surgery. And despite me being buddy buddy with them, I always had to point out to everyone that these are wild animals. Yet no one would listen to me, because since I could interact with them, everyone else thought they could treat them like domesticated pets. The dream never turned bloody or violent though.

And did you ever watch any of the various versions of Dr DoLittle, or read the books?

Had a dream last night that my dad (died in 1993) somehow managed to hire Cliff Richard to come and sing for my mum (died in 2017) on her birthday. As soon as Cliff arived I made a reference to the "look out, Cliff!" ending of the Young Ones but he didn't get it. He then started saying weird things to me and my sisters. When he left in his car (he didn't have someone driving for him, which seems unlikely!) he nearly ran over new twin kittens my mum had recently got. Then I saw my own cat (died 2019) and started to suspect I was in a dream. Why the cat would make me think that and not my dead parents I don't know. I woke up pretty soon after that.

Most interesting dream I've had in a while.

OK I think this is more of an experience than an actual dream but here goes.

The other night I was in bed and I usually lie on my side as it's more comfortable then just lying on my back, anyway I put my head on the pillow and rest for a bit then in my right ear which is on the pillow I can hear what sounds like jazz music but it sounds like it's coming from under me and all around me, I lift my head its gone, put my head down again and after a minute or two its back and I just lay there with this going on and got really relaxed, and I could hear chatter and other things. It was very real sounding and then it all faded and I was there just lying there in bed and it was silence again.
