I found a word that describes my experience clairaudience
I had one of my weird sci-fi inspired dreams last night.
I don’t remember all the details, but it’s a world where they have technology to bring people back to life but it’s illegal to bring you back in your own body as opposed to a newborn one that won’t remember anything. But bodies of exceptionally good or bad people are sort of encased and memorialized as statues.
This woman who was condemned to death managed to escape by reviving some bad guys who were memorialized and escaping in the chaos then it turned out her goal the whole time was to steal the revival device to bring back her memorialized boyfriend.
That would make a fantastic movie you should write down more and think about it, I'd watch the heck out of that story.
I had more clairaudience last night.........I heard the sound of a coffee percolator and could smell a woman's perfume and it was a nice smell. I had this one before so not sure why it repeated.
I had my first dream of my husband last night. We were in his semi tractor trailer and he was meeting with a guy at his house to get our assignment. He got back in the cab and I asked him where we were going, but I forget what he said. Then he started talking about how we would trade off driving on this trip, and I told him that I wasn't going to drive this thing. He used to drive semis and always wanted me to ride along with him, but I have the feeling that this was about my journey without him now.
I had the oddest one last night.
There was this countdown and I was in the seat of a spacecraft and it was a test flight.... I remembered the countdown counting down the checklist and then launch which felt a bit rough. Then I remember this stuff and the words.
Me: Ground closing outer panels and preparing for transition and final boost
Outside panels were closing on the windows as a kind of shroud slid over the front of the ship and then
Ground: We see panels closed and preparing for suspension heart stop in five minutes
The rest I remembered the ship was on auto pilot for the outer edge of our solar system then it would loop back to Earth and I remember they had this preservation technique where they stop your heart and preserve your body in some kind of cold stasis as the journey would be a while..
Then the main engines kicked in and I remember that in the last few seconds after I lose consciousness and felt the ship boosting speed and that's about it.
Very interesting...and a little scary. Don't you love what our brains do to entertain us?
Io9 posted an article about a new theory a scientist developed for why we have weird dreams. Pretty much all of the other scientists they talked to for the article don't agree with the theory, so I'm not sure how likely it really is.
