I hope Trip/T'Pol intimacy means simple friendship.
Because any other meaning would be a disaster to Enterprise.
I would hate to see the end of a great show because of an unbelieveable ratings stunt. C/7 was the end of Voyager. T/T'P will be the end of Enterprise.

but unlike c/7 there are hints of t/t from the beginning.
and they even went to far within about a month of each other of making sure both characters were free of any attachments back home..
trip in silent enemy and tpol in breaking the ice.
while letting archer and whether he had some one back home open to question. and yep rebacca got cut for time from the expanse but one mention of a letter to her can take care of that


who knows if they build toward this in little steps througout the season which hopefully they will it might just grow on you.. like moss on a xindi sloth



but i wouldnt mind if the romance is only implied and kept off screen too..

as for pecan pie..
could pecan pie in some way been the salvation of the xindi home world in the future.

was the intended target of the death ray a bakery but then the pilot couldnt turn it off and it kept firing till it self destructed???

is pecan pie the favorite food among all species.. like swedish meatball existed as a meal with all alien cultures in babylon 5??

on a more serious note if in the future trip is going to play a large part in breaking the warp 7 barrier he might have been a target.

there can easily be several time lines where he could have been at home with his sister..
if the suliban had been successful in shockwave for instance
or if enterprise had not launched yet.

if he had not been there on the day the vulcans tried to shut down the human deep space program when trip told them nothing was wrong with that engine.

the xindi could have gotten the wrong temporal intelligence..just food for thought

(As for Earth Sloths... I picked up a little Sloth info lately while looking for pics to photoshop. lol)

I think it's a marvelous idea and can't wait to see it furfilled.

T'Pol's new look - only if she gets rid of the cat suits of any colour and wears a proper uniform stlye outfit. She is a science officer not a pin up babe.

As long as TPTB are targeting the teen to young adult male pop, that is not going to happen.

NOT The Many Beatings & Captures of Archer - that is getting boring and over done.

I agree that it is getting old to see Archer beat up all the time.

The only thing between them is friendship. Archer would not/could not have a relationship with anyone on the ship.

... then you and your Xindi-Sloths can take them to the homeworld to watch moss grow. Just as exciting.
Also I am not still long enough for moss or algae to grow on me.

Trinneer and Blalock bring so much more to that dynamic than their appearance. So much more. If they were interested in pairing the prettiest male with Jolene they would have chosen Anthony Montgomery. His body is better than Scott's and Connor's at the end of the day and his facial features are more elegant and handsome.

Archer is her captain. He is her friend--that is where their mutual affection lies. It's a beautiful dynamic. When they try to force flirting it fails. B&B have made the right move. That way the lovely dynamic that exists now between Archer and T'Pol can continue.

The ARcher/T'Pol shippers don't seem to get it. A Captain CAN NOT be involved with a member of his crew in any romantic fashion.

chakotay/seven also came out of nowhere and was badly done...

Yes it did come from out of no where.

on the other hand, tom and b'elanna, who sorta came outta nowhere, although not half as badly, turned out great and, at least in season 7, were very interesting... they had time to develop it...

I saw potential for them from seaon one. Especially after faces. There is NO WAY they would have EVER put her with FOREVER an Ensign Kim.

so trip/tpol, who in all likelihood would not come out of nowhere, especially if the rumors are correct, and would have plenty of time to develop, would create an extra dynamic to the series and make it more interesting IMO

just my two cents...

I think the Trip and T'Pol dynamic will be a big boost to the show. Two personalities so diametricly opposite coming together will have lots of interesting inteaction. With T'Pol helping Trip get over the loss of his sister and at the same time trying to shake off her Vuculcan shackles..... it certainly won't be boring.

There has never been a romance between the captain and a member of the command staff. TPTB will never do it.

Based on the history of Trek......They had a chance to put Janeway/Chakotay and did not so. They had a chance to put Kirk and Rand together and did not do so. They had the chance to put Picard and Crusher together, they did not. They had a chance to put Sisko and Dax together......they did not.....

It is something they choose not to do consistently. It's the one thing they have continuity with.
