Dear Mr. Bailey , Scott Bakula looks like he's in his late '30 or early '40. To me, Jolene Blalock's plays T'Pol "older" -- Sean Connery and Catherine Zeta-Jones, that's creepy. *shudder* I think Scott Bakula and Jolene Blalock photograph beautifully together.

If anyone really thinks cancelling Enterprise will solve ANY of the problems with Star Trek, they've got a lot to learn about the entertainment business. I know many fans out there live out the Star Trek dream in the many, many, many books, but that's not where the heart of the franchise lies, folks. Hey Cecil B. De Mille: The "heart of the franchise" lies in a series led by executive producers set on producing quality entertainment, thought provoking scripts, well written teleplays and well acted by gifted professionals.

Considering the cast and crew of Enterprise, I stand by my statement to kill this monster, retool and start again, sans Berman and Braga, with a 25th century crew/setting.

So fortunately as a result Acher and T'Pol look good together. Judged by both human and vulcan standards.

Nooooooo.....Bakula is quite the virile specimen but in close up you can definitely tell that he's got 20 years on Ms. Blalock. Check their birthdates at imdb. He is old enough to be her father. That's part of the reason I sense such a brotherly/sisterly caring vibe while watching them because he does look older. I wish they'd give Archer a semi-regular love interest who was closer to his age. That guest star from "Civilization" was wonderful. She was about 37 or 38 years old, a little closer to his age, unlike the 28 year old Blalock. Women over 35 can be attractive.

Agreed! Nicole Kidman, Michelle Preiffer, Rene Russo & Julianne Moore, to name the few.

But that lady who played Keyla in TDTN may have been closer to Scott's age but there was zilch chemistry between her and Archer. Age is age. I just like how T'Pol and Archer look together, like their vibe.

BTW, I just found out that the plot twist of the Xindi arc is that the probe was not a weapon but the Xindi's new experimental pecan pie slicing machine that got out of control.

I enjoy Archer and T'Pol's vibe as well. It has grown on me and quite unexpectedly at that, as the thread I did on the two of them was meant to show. It's in no way a romantic vibe but I like it. When Archer's offering support to T'Pol he reminds me of how he is with Travis while comforting him about his late father, how protective he was with a delusional Trip suffering from heat stroke, and the calm reassurance he offered to a frightened Malcolm when they were locked in the cell awaiting execution.

It's a fraternal vibe.

Because any other meaning would be a disaster to Enterprise.
I would hate to see the end of a great show because of an unbelieveable ratings stunt. C/7 was the end of Voyager. T/T'P will be the end of Enterprise.

Somehow I doubt that. Keeping ENT in exactly the same condition it's in now without enacting story arcs or paying attention to character development and writing nice, safe, boring stories with no permanent consequences would be far more disastrous to ENT than a Trip/T'Pol or Archer/T'Pol connection.

chakotay/seven also came out of nowhere and was badly done...

on the other hand, tom and b'elanna, who sorta came outta nowhere, although not half as badly, turned out great and, at least in season 7, were very interesting... they had time to develop it...

so trip/tpol, who in all likelihood would not come out of nowhere, especially if the rumors are correct, and would have plenty of time to develop, would create an extra dynamic to the series and make it more interesting IMO

just my two cents...

But, that's because that was handled stupidly. One episode they were just shipmates, and the next, they were bedroom buddies. Now, if they slowly built up a relationship between Trip & T'Pol, then I wouldn't have a problem with it.

Personally, though, I'd rather see a relationship 'tween Travis and Hoshi (with Hoshi being the aggresssor). Or, Travis and Phlox's wife, w/ Travis agreeing to be her next husband. Wouldn't that be a hoot!
