Plantar Fascitis

They hardly weigh anything so they have all the advantages of bare feet with all the advantages of shoes...you know...the not having gravel or shards of glass in your foot part.

HOWEVER...some styles don't breathe too terribly well so you'll end up with sweaty feet. They sell socks which would help this...but just an FYI. So if you just wear them au natural they can stink up fairly quickly. There are a few blogs that address the cleaning.

I have been dealing with PF as well, I did some stretches and iced it for a few weeks and then got a steroid injection and I feel much better. Have your foot draw the alphabet before you get out of bed every morning to stretch it out.

I only have problems with stinky feet and my Bikilas when I take them off. After a day's wearing, the odor could probably be classified as a weapon of mass destruction.

Hi
There are many things you can do to treat your plantar fasciitis. I had plantar fasciitis for about a year and I discovered that treatment is individual. Things that work for one will not necessarily work for the other. The good news is that you have many treatments you can try but you must be persistent and patient.
I have followed a good plantar fasciitis treatment review website in:
http://www.plantar-fasciitis-elrofeet.com/How_is_Plantar_Fasciitis_Treated.html
There are many self care treatments ideas in there but I think you should consult a podiatrist before do something.
Take care

I’d never heard of these Vibram shoes until now.

Married With Children’s Al Bundy once had a dream that he invented a pair of shoes like that. He should have patented them!

I met someone at a convention last New Year's who had a pair of those. I wasn't quite sure what to make of them. They looked comfortable, but when he walked across a huge mud puddle in them it just looked weird.

I have plantar fasciitis as well. At one point it had gotten so bad that I couldn't walk to the bathroom in the morning. I went to a chiropodist, who had orthotics made for me. He also recommended Rockport shoes, which I've been wearing ever since, and they're incredibly comfortable.

My wife has had trouble with PF, and she got these shoes called Z-Coils that she says help a lot. They look a bit strange with a giant spring for a heel, but if they seem to work. We call them her Tigger shoes.

They look quite practical for gorillas, or people with prehensile toes.

The point of Vibrams is that your toes are supposed to spread apart as you walk. Normal shoes don't allow that so a lot of people develop foot problems.
