We've all heard how they want to do a new streaming film every couple of years, with Section 31 being the first.
What are some practical ideas for future streaming films? By practical, I mean that the film should have a budget in-line with what you would expect for a streaming film. We're not going to get another Kelvin film on Paramount+.
I think a fairly reasonable idea would be for a Strange New Worlds movie, possibly tying into the 60th Anniversary. The film could depict Captain Pike's last great mission onboard the Enterprise, before finally handing command over to Captain Kirk. This could act as a series finale for Strange New Worlds, while also bringing the entire franchise full-circle. It also leaves a door open for possibly more adventures with Captain Kirk and the crew of the Enterprise. We also have the benefit of sets already being built and a well seasoned cast of actors established in their roles.
Anyone else care to contribute their ideas? I have others, but I'll leave it with one for now, just to get the ball rolling.
