Is there any way to post pictures without having to them uploaded at a website???

Obviously not. I mean, *this* is a website.

I meant a 3rd party website. I just wanted to know if I could somehow at some point upload photos from my computer directly to here...but I see that's not possible unless I can make one of those albums...and I just don't really care quite that much.

^Attaching images directly to a post used to be a feature for premium members. Not sure how that fits with giving people albums.
Attaching images is still a feature available to premium members. The album feature is separate, and should be available to all members Level 3 and above. Cakes, go to your profile page, and look over to the right for something like this:

D'oh!!! Seriously? I never knew we could add pic's to this site. I lost my 3rd party web host about a year ago and, therefore, haven't been participating in any of the picture threads (among others).

Be afraid, TBBS; be very afraid ....

^the good ole TBBS has albums to host/post pics too ;)

So cool. Well, here goes nothin'.

This is our friends, The Hubby and me (far right) on the first night of our Alaskan cruise back in June. I thought it appropriate, given the martini conversation above (that's Gray Goose, up, dry, olives, btw.) ;) Also, since I'm currently transitioning to a new computer, it's one of the few pic's of me still on this laptop.

*edit* okay, clearly I'm doing something wrong. Can't get the pic to appear in-line. I'll go do some more research on this and try again. For now, though, at least I've figured out how to attach one. Baby steps. :sigh:

You should get a photobucket account, it's free. I use it to host my pics. Very easy to use as well.

Awww, shucks. Thanks! :D

And thank you, for the advice. I used to have free webhosting with both Comcast and Yahoo, but they both got rid of that functionality. I never thought about Photobucket.

I've actually been sort of doing more lurking than participating this past year (for various reasons), so wasn't overly concerned about it. But, I'm trying to get myself back into the TBBS groove, so it's definitely worth looking into. :bolian:

You own Labs, live in Boston, and went to Alaska in June. I knew I liked you.

We went there in June as well. Except we road tripped it. Except for the parts with no roads, where we took a boat or plane instead.

What ports did you stop at?

LOL! Funny, I was going to say the very same thing about you, then I saw your Alaska reference earlier. :)

We sailed from Vancouver, BC; stopped in Ketchikan, Juneau and Skagway where we took the old White Mountain Pass railroad trip into the mountains on the way to the Yukon, the ferried over to Haines and took an amazing river raft trip through the Chilkat Eagle Preserve. Then, it was 2 days of "scenic cruising" in Glacier Bay National Park and College Fjord. Disembarked in Whittier and took the train to Talkeetna (cool little town) where we took another boat tour. Stayed at a McKinley Wilderness Lodge, then off o the Denali Lodge from where we took an 8 1/2 hour trip into the heart of Denali National Park (a very long day, but saw amazing wildlife including a grizzly and her 2 cubs up close.) :) Flew home from Fairbanks where I took a pic of the hubby outside the airport at 12:30 a.m. with the sun still well above the horizon hanging over his right shoulder (red eye flight home). The sun never going down was intriguing, but got sorta freaky after awhile. ;)

We'll have to compare more notes.

Oh, and I'll add some more pic's after I've set up a Photobucket account. thanks again for the advice, everyone!
