I'm afraid I don't have any cats or dogs to contribute, but I did, until very recently, have rats. Here are some photos of the last two of our eight ratties, who sadly both died in the last month.

I used to have a cycle of rats for years. My last two were both awesome and terrible. The awesome rat would love to figure out how to get out of her cage (I never figured out how), but she would just wander the house looking me. There have been countless times where I would watch TV and she would walk up to me and want to play.

The other rat was a nightmare, very anti-social. When she got out of her cage, she would hide and take sometimes days to track down. The last straw was when I found her the last time, she took a sizable chunk out of my finger... I gave her up after that.

This is a mice... sorry, nice change from cats and dogs.
I'm not sure I am in favour of segregation, but these picture threads fill so quickly that perhaps it wouldn't be silly to have a separate one for pets. Just an idea...
