Pretty sure none of you know me. I get a million people tell me I look like an ex-girlfriend of theirs or someone else they know and I can assure you that I'm not.
More than likely just one of those faces.

I still can't figure out why it is familiar, but it is. Have a sister or cousin or astral projection out Californee-way?

No, I am originally from Bffalo, NY and live in Canada. None of my relatives, or anyone I know, for that matter, live or have anything to do with Cali. :/

Me and the wife

I remember the last time I rode a camel... my tail-bone hurt for a week.

Never been to Egypt though (closest I got was in the middle of the Red Sea)... I need to check it out some time.

The hairy part for me was the dismount. The camel goes down front legs first which pitches you forward on a steep angle.

Egypt is great. We traveled from Cairo to Giza to Aswan to Edfu to Luxor, including a cruise down the Nile. It's simply amazing to stand among ruins that old. We even went inside three pyramids, including the Great Pyramid at Giza where we stood in Khufu's burial chamber.

First time posting my photo in one of these

This was my avatar for a while until "Avatar Week" ran it's course and I changed it to DC/Vertigo's Lucifer instead

(Sorry it's in black and white but I look even more horrific in colour)

I took my girlfriend to her very first Giants game (and her second baseball game ever) yesterday, and we had a blast!

^ They had a cool feature during the pregame setup where fans could send messages via their cell phones and then see them up on the screen...and Christine's got up! Also, it was an amazing game. The giants were down 5-7 in the bottom of the 9th, with 2 outs and Pablo Sanchez had a 2-2 count. We thought it was over for sure...when Sanchez hammered a 3-run home run to left field to end and win the game! It was simply amazing, and I was glad Christine got to see a great game.

Oh, and I just realized...yesterday was my 8 year anniversary here!

Flux, what a great story!! Looks like you guys had a great time; congratulations on big number 8 :techman:

Aw, crap, the Nationals lost. But they won today...:p Great pics. I might get to go to a Nats/Mets game this summer...I'll be sure to take pics. Maybe I'll have one of me in a Mets shirt and Nats cap.

My wife and I did the same thing over Christmas in 2006! For some reason I don't have the picture of us sitting on the camel uploaded on Flickr, but here's how it looked from our perspective:

Guess I'm one of the few humans here.

When I first saw this picture, I thought "she looks kind of familiar"... Now that I know you were from Buffalo, NY, there's a pretty decent chance we crossed paths at some point. Buffalo's not that big of a town..
