^ Eddie, if you two are truely "best friends", that is the best basis for a strong long-term relationship. My wife & I were friends first, before we started dating and eventually married. Being "best friends" brings respect, communication skills, understanding, tollerance, humor and history to a relationship. These things are very important in a strong and healthy relationship.

Let her know you'd be intrested in taking your relationship to a different level. Who knows, it might be a very natural progression.

My two cents....

Q2 (married 13 years)

Eddie, there's ONE solution to your "problem".

Invite her over and watch "When Harry met Sally" with her. And then you can discuss it. You'll either end up in bed or staying friends.

We'll see. I'm giving serious consideration to asking her out to a nice local dinner so we can talk about what's been going on since the breakup and air our feelings about quite a few subjects. If things start to feel right and she admits to having any feelings for me that are more than friendship then that'll be the signal I need. My primary concern is not doing something too quickly. That last relationship really took a lot out of the poor girl and she's still smarting pretty badly. We'll see.

Who knows. Maybe my dream girl has been under my nose for the past ten years and I never knew it.

Hopefully this won't be, which episode has Kirk's best fight scene, episode 44 or 46?

Seriously, though, compassion always counts for a lot in a healthy relationship. Sounds like you are in her corner which should also count a lot too. :techman:

If she can't quote Kirk's "risk" speech from TOS then she can kiss my ass. I have my limits. :vulcan:

If I ever don a kilt it shall be the most exquisite and wondrous thing ever beheld by the eyes of man. Random strangers would snuff their own lives out on the spot just to preserve the untainted glory of that moment.

I wouldn't use the word "untainted" when referring to a kilt. That word just will not survive the day intact. :borg:

Good one.:techman:

I'm stealing this idea.

You never thought about that before? I recommended it a few times to customers at BB as a "it's kinda a date but we're just good friends" movie.

You owe me a new drink...:guffaw:

Awwwwww. Thanks.

Now come. Sit on uncle Eddie's lap.
