tsq, It's good to see you back. I'd been wondering what happened to you.
I second the sentiment. Nice to have you back.
Thanks everyone, it's good to be back. Been a rough summer: got laid off, haven't found new work, developed a painful bone spur and series of stress fractures in my right foot which mean I can't even do menial work until I find something better, gone through my savings. All in all I haven't had much energy for this place. Trying to stay positive, though. At least in between applying for jobs I've had a lot of time for my art. Hopefully soon it'll start selling. Here's another painting I've just put up for sale, hope you all like it! It's a portrait of my little sister!

All my best to your prospects, tsq!
Just found this yesterday, it's a picture of me from about 10 years back, handling a nasty clog wearing my garbage armor (garbage bag, plastic sandwich baggies, and aluminum foil gauntlets, though at this point my tinfoil hat had fallen off).

I would say I won that battle, but really, in a toilet battle, nobody wins.

Neat, a bubble chamber painting! That's really, really beautiful, tsq. The "wow that blew my mind" quality of beautiful. It really appeals to both the scientist and the aesthete in me, my dear.

^Thank you! That really means a lot to me, coming from you. :) Let's just hope some others feel the same way, enough to buy it. Then maybe I could pay my rent!

^^ Aw, that's a terrible Summer indeed. :( I'm feeling the financial pinch myself these days, otherwise I'd offer you some commission work-- it would be great to collaborate on a comic strip with you. However, I think I can certainly afford to buy a poster (I already have your Carl Sagan one :mallory: ).

^That is too cool! Thank you! I had to stop selling through DeviantArt, because I don't have the money for the fee. With Etsy it's just the 20 cents, which is much more manageable, even if there's no longer the convenience of having the print production done for me.

That sucks, tsq. Big time :/ And sadly I'm even worse of then RJ, so I can't even afford to buy a poster right now (I literally just tonight realized I have the equivalent of about eight bucks on my main debit card). But good luck! You've got some really good stuff, surely someone will buy something! I'd certainly love to buy at least one print of one of your works when I have the money.

Very lovely paintings. I hope things get better for you soon.

So since I had the day off today I went to the park with my wife and daughter and decided to bring my camera along so I could try out the new lens I got for my birthday. As luck would have it it was right around 11:00 and we got to see a flyby of some WWII era fighters so I snapped a few pics.

You can actually make out the pilots at full resolution which you can see by clicking on the picture.

There was also a formation of choppers that went by overhead but I haven't gotten to them yet.
