1) That cake is awesome.

2) I've said this before, I'll say it again, Seeker, you're wife is also awesome.

3) There was a semi-heated debate recently in the TNG forum about the Stargazer and its color-scheme came up as did its registry, and all kinds of other minutiae... perhaps the yellow coloring is from the model in Picard's ready room?

My wife organized a surprise party for my 40th birthday and presented me with a pretty cool cake.

I have the exact same ships. I HATE the yellow Stargazer.

My wife went to great lengths to acquire micro machines that I don't already have so I really appreciated them, but one of the first things I commented on was the fact that the Stargazer is yellow. Who the hell vetted that?

The cake looks delicious, but the yellow Stargazer is a lie. :shifty:

Seriously, though, you must have a wonderful wife for going to lengths like that to make you happy, sir. :D

I think it may have been part of a special collector's edition, since i have seen bronze colored models before. Just a guess though.

Oh and MLB, the registry number is NCC-2893, for what it's worth.

What breed of dog is he?

I'm more of a cat person myself, but I like big dogs - since they're usually more calm than smaller ones. My family has always had cats and small dogs (Miniature American Eskimos, Jack Russell Terriers, and Yorkie and Silky Terriers). They are, without a doubt, the yippiest, most active dogs I have ever encountered. Give me a Basset Hound any day. I've also wondered what it would be like to have a St. Bernard, but I don't know how active/enthusiastic they are.
He's a Bernese Mountain Dog. They're awesome if you like to have them around the family, they're especially great with children. But, you need tons of space - the city isn't for them.

I don't like smaller breeds as much as what I refer to as "real" dogs (i.e. ones that actually bark a sonorous WOOF instead of yapping annoyingly ;)). Unfortunately, I don't have the money, time and space for a "real" dog to live with me. As soon as this changes, I'm getting one.

Hermes here I try to visit as often as I can - I know he's happy living with my parents.

I love those pics. I take my dogs to this one park every Sunday morning, and it's a Bernese convention some days. A few owners that have 2-3 of them.

I like big dogs too, I've got 2 Labs, so they're medium-large. The female weighs 70 lbs and the male is 90 lbs.

I don't have a problem with smaller dogs, I just really don't like the toy and non-working breeds. They are yappy and stupid. I'd be perfectly happy with a Corgi or a Sheltie or something like that.

So I finally got around to going through the shots I took of my daughter last easter.

Downtown Los Angeles (to the left) as seen at dusk from Griffith Park, 10/16/2011 via Hipstamatic.

Totally awesome pic. I used to love visits to Griffith Park. Still do, actually, though the last time I was there was 2006 I think.
