To those who previously mentioned how sinister I look: I'm starting to see your point.

So last month when I was in New Orleans we wanted to hear some live music one night and pretty much randomly wandered into this place called the Palm Court Jazz Cafe where, among others, this fellow was playing:

Turns out he's a man by the name of Lionel Ferbos and is the oldest performing jazz musician in the city and will be turning 100 on the 19th. So that was pretty neat!

A few other photos from the trip:

^Fantastic shots as always.

Thanks! I'm actually pretty amazed I was able to salvage the shot of Ferbos considering that the lighting conditions were horrible, I was too far away... and most importantly I was more then a little inebriated by that point!

What's your program of choice? I've found Adobe Raw pretty great for slavaging some questionable shots.

I do almost everything in Adobe Lightroom these days, which I assume is doing everything that Raw can do. The noise reduction filters can do wonders these days!

Weirder than normal? :p. I think you should get one, Iguana. I've been working off and on on a painting of a man with the mathematical formulation of the standard model on his back. That'd be a sweet tatt.

I know this is from a few pages ago, but I have to mention that a friend of mine (who's doing his PhD in physics) has the equations for the four fundamental interactive forces tattooed on his forearm.
