Maybe I just notice them more but seem a lot to me...unless Brits aren't counted as Europeans :)

Of course Us English aren't counted as European ~ don't we own it? ;)

I think it's that we're not considered chic or sophisticated...or European :) But then I've never considered myself so other than that ghastly passport...

Right it's time to down brollies and throw off our bowler hats. Lets embrace drinking wine at lunch and smoking... Oh hang on I do that already...

Plan B... buy a cigarette holder, call everyone 'darling' and lounge where-ever possible, preferably with a Martini.

Also hide the slippers and refer to a dressing gown as a 'smoking jacket' ~ together we can recreate the empire ;)

A horse, a horse... Oh thank you Case :)
He's gorgeous. Name?

His name at home is Jackson, his full name (for shows and on his passport) is Stonewall Jackson ^_^
And he's an absolute angel of a horse, but still with his little fun characteristics.

Oh great name and they would not be the same without their 'own ways'.

My pony, 13.2 hands went under the showname of 'NewHolme Gaiety Girl', known as 'Gay' in the stables back in the time when that word did not raise a snigger :vulcan: *down Shameless*
She was a feisty arab/welsh cob, strawberry roan and we grew up together. At gymkhanas we were rarely beaten because she was so nippy and competetive and I was young and able

My horse ~ 15.2, throroughbred/irish draught cross, was called Sonny ~ he was such a gentleman. Would tuck his head in and stride out when he wanted to show off.

Oh just typing it makes me miss it sooooo much.

Case, embrace the time you have with Jackson ~ they are your best friends. I miss it so much.

I may love Sir Squeak, the cat, but unfortunately I cannot saddle him up and ride out into nowhere for a couple of hours just the two of us.

...Am inspired to look into riding lessons :)

Your pony and horse sound like they were such amazing characters.

Jackson's a 15'1 Irish Draught x Connemara. He's 14 years old now and he's never going anywhere. He can go into an absolutely perfect outline, but only when he knows you're riding him properly. When he's feeling cheeky and lazy he likes to lean on your hands.
Plus he has the most amazing paces. They're so smooth and easy.

I think you should definately take up at least the riding lessons again. That way you can still be around the horses and having nice rides.

I couldn't imagine giving it up now at all. It helps that I'm planning a career in the equine industry (starting my Equine Studies course at Uni this september hopefully ^_^) so I'll hopefully be around horses for my whole life.

Our Japanese Maple blooming. It only blooms for about two weeks, like to get a picture of it to remember it for the 50 other or so weeks.

There's porn in TNZ? I'd be intrigued, but J.Allen provides such a fine selection over at the adult section of starscapebbs that I am in no need really.

I thank you, sir! /salute
No problem! When I think about it though, most of your contributions grade more as erotica then mere porn. It's a lot of high quality stuff.

Yes indeed, I'm a fan of erotica in general, not so much porn or anything like that. Of that, I leave to my associates.

Anyhoo, I was looking through some older family photographs, trying to repair damaged ones that had been neglected, and I came across a few pictures of my grandfather, someone whom I consider is the greatest man to have ever lived (your mileage may vary of course).

He was the kindest, sweetest man you could ever hope to know. He was very wise, very loving, compassionate and gentle, wouldn't hurt a fly, and he'd give the shirt off his back if you needed it. He and I were a lot alike, and he took me under his wing. He was the one who let me try chewing tobacco for the first time (after much cajoling and pleading, I got sick and I got sick from it), and I've never had any inclination to chew thanks to him.

Anyway, a few pictures of him:

I miss him so very much. He was a good man who went way too soon.
