My "new" (it's new to me!) car! A 1993 Saturn SL2. It feels nice to have my own car again! Also, don't let the dirt and smudges fool you, the interior and exterior are in very good condition. I just haven't had a chance to wash it.

It's a 1.9 liter, 4 cylinder, 124hp, Twin cam, automatic, and has 137,000 miles on it, but having test driven it, it runs very well, and all of the features work (radio/air conditioning/lights/wipers). I'll get about 27/35 miles to the gallon, which makes me happy. It's only had two previous owners, both of them in the same family, and the records show regular oil changes, checkups and everything. The car runs like it came right off the showroom floor.

Oh, and the color is actually a midnight blue, though you can't really see that in the photos.

Sweet ride, J.! I like slightly older cars that have proven their worth on the road. At least you know you can rely on them and they'll get up and go when you turn the key.

Well...ideally, anyways. :p

Thanks, eddie! :D
Yeah, I prefer older cars, too. The best car I ever owned was a 1995 Chevy Beretta. Bought it used when it was 9 years old and had 80,000 miles on it. You guys might remember that one.

This car, the Saturn, turns on a dime, and I'm not used to that, having driven mostly larger mid-size cars. While I was test driving it, I made a left turn and turned right into the oncoming traffic lane. Fortunately, no one was there, but still, it turns really well. Also, for having "only" 4 cylinders (as if this concerns me!), it has a lot of power, too.

The only downside, is that the stereo is AM/FM. No cassette or CD, so one day, down the road, I'll have to buy a CD player and electrocute myself while installing it, and the modification kit. :p

Aww, I love Saturns. I really wish GM hadn't gotten rid of them. Best part of GM, if you ask me. Great ride, J, and I hope you enjoy her. Does she have a name yet?

Also, speaking about tight turns, my car can make a U-Turn in a regular sized residential street. :D

After over a year of being on the market, we finally sold our house. We closed yesterday and said goodbye to our dream home. It's so weird, we were expecting to be here for many years but wound up only living here for two. However life throws you curve balls sometimes. We moved into an apartment, will be here for several months before transiting up to Syracuse.

Goodbye house

I posted this in the action figure thread, too, but I think it's cool enough that people who don't read that one would enjoy it too. I'm really excited for The Dark Knight Rises (who isn't?) and have been messing around with my action figures. I made this one today:

Thanks, Shameless. :D
No, I don't have a name for her yet. I've been thinking, though. Ideas are welcome!

Oh, yeah, this car will do that, and that too I found out by accident.

good luck driving it with that seat-belt...

It's an automatic seatbelt. When you sit in it, it slides back and locks in place. FANCY! :D
