Hooray for her! Anything that can bring a smile and a measure of happiness in a situation like that is worthwhile and I hope she continues to do things along these lines, both for herself and for the people she helps through her volunteering.

The only Newcastle that anyone around here carries is their brown ale, and I think brown ales are generally gross.

This was tonight's dinner- beef stew in the crockpot!
Beef stew is beefy.

It's not just plain old beef stew, either, it's boeuf à la Bourguignonne. And it was bon. 
This is the Avro Arrow, on display at the Canadian Manufacturing Technology Show, where the company I work for is exhibiting.
Wait a second... I thought they were all destroyed?
And how come you didn't tell me you had any involvement with this? I could have easily set aside two or three hours at Polaris for a presentation. (It's not really such a good fit for a Doctor Who con, unfortunately.)
