Picture from "The Lodger" **SPOILERS**

james corden is fat.

and :wtf:

is there a point to your statement. I've seen Corden act before he became famous so he'll have no problem doing anything serious but this episode does seem for the uncranky people in here a right laugh waiting to happen :)

Is this an Amy-lite episode? She isn't in any of the pictures.
In the comic strip, Rose doesn't appear except at the very end.

The Doctor and Rose intend to visit Mickey and Jackie, but the TARDIS doesn't land properly in phase, so when the Doctor steps out of the TARDIS, it skips ahead a week (with Rose still inside) and the Doctor has to wait around for it to show up. And because he doesn't have anyplace better to go, he crashes with Mickey for a week.

The Mickster grows increasingly frustrated with the Doctor as the week passes -- the Doctor becomes fantastically popular with all of his friends, the Doctor messes up his PlayStation (he stopped an alien invasion with it, if I remember correctly), the Doctor even messes things up with a woman Mickey is interested in.

Both Mickey and the Doctor are relieved when the TARDIS finally arrives. :)

It's a cute little story. Assuming a similar set-up, Amy wouldn't be in the story much at all. It's too bad there's no longer a Rory; I could see the Doctor and Rory as roomies. It would be like the tables are turned.

james corden is not only fat, he is fat and untalented. his talent comes from being fat, i literally want to punch him in the face every time he is on TV. i'm glad patrick stewart called him out on it, he was right. the crowd were a bunch of PC fattie lovers.

stop being fat too.

But if he lost weight he'd lose his talent. You can see the bind he's in

Plus all the hot chicks would probably dry up...I can't believe was shagging a companion!

Dude, that sounds hilarious. I wish they'd done this episode sooner, so the Doctor could have roomed with Rory. That would have been great.

Imagine how annoying that would have been originally for Mickey, if they'd actually filmed that he'd have probably tried to strangle Ten by the end of the week.

Ouch really touched a nerve didn't I ;)

You claimed you never insulted people and were proven 100% wrong (and not just by me and not just in relation to Corden), move on!

I dunno, they're laying it on a bit thick in those clips aren't they? The Docs never seemed quite that clueless when interacting with humans before.

Calling me a racist who hates the disabled merely because I called Corden "fatty"? You bet that touches a nerve. Not just because I have both black and disabled (if not wheelchair disabled) family, but also because it's a completely unjustified aspersion.

I thought the same thing. He looks and acts crazier than normal (well, for him anyway). Maybe something else is going on with him?

If you can point out the bit where I explicitly called you a racist that'd be a start. I was picking you up on your assertion that it was somehow acceptable to call him fatty because he was fat, and that if one followed the logic of refering to people based on their appearance it might lead to all sorts of unpleasantness.

And falling back on the "I'll have you know some of my best friends are Vulcan" defence (again) is unneccesary. You don't need black or disabled family members to be outraged, you can just be outraged, mentioning them dilutes your argument cos it almost sounds like you're trying to justify things to yourself. One could have a family that embraced every colour/creed/sexuality etc and yet still be a bigot. Family and friends don't define you, you define you.

Anyway, in the interests of detente I apologise. I'm sorry that you feel I was casting unfair aspertions.

It's been a very long time since the Doctor has had to live in linear time though. Remember how ratty he was getting waiting with Vincent for the Crafyis for the better part of an afternoon last week? Imagine how ratty and incoherent he must get after a week! He hasn't had to do that since, I believe, the UNIT years.
