There is a LCARS'ish looking display in the admiral's office in the show's trailers.Haven't read the comic so far.
By the way, do we see LCARS on the USS Verity? From what i have seen in the preview picture, there were none and i really wondered about their absense...
If there aren't any, what's the reason for this? Simply artistical decissions for the comic or a hint that starfleet vessels in the Picard era don't use this kind of display anymore?
Monthly---Nov/Dec/Jan Synopsis for next issue.........As the situation on the Romulan colony continues to unravel, Picard finds himself faced with a difficult choice that will affect millions. The official countdown to the Star Trek: Picard series on CBS All Access continues here!$5 an issue is steep, picked it up yesterday. I am a sucker for Star Trek...
It was a set-up issue, serving its purpose well. Liked the Verity (really enjoyed that it wasn't the Enterprise), the new uniforms and XO Raffi.
It this bi-weekly or a monthly title? Hard to get four issues out before the 1/23 launch date if it is monthly.
Monthly---Nov/Dec/Jan...
It's three issues released monthly. The last one comes out on January 29, though. It this bi-weekly or a monthly title? Hard to get four issues out before the 1/23 launch date if it is monthly.
Oh, on the contrary. From what I've heard, it sounds like it's treating a supernova far more sensibly, as something that can be anticipated before it happens (but not narrowed down to the exact time) and that would affect far more than one star system. The problem is that the '09 movie's version was so completely nonsensical that any attempt to impose some semblance of sense on it is still going to have sizeable logic holes.
Anyway, I hope it isn't the Romulans' own sun that's going supernova, since by all rights, stars capable of supernova would never live long enough to host inhabited planets. But that ship sailed half a century ago with Minara and Sarpeidon, as well as the tendency of Trek to put inhabited planets around supernova candidate stars like Antares, Rigel, and Deneb.
The Romulans are an immigrant species, not native to the Romulan system. They may have terraformed Romulus (and partially Remus) and transplanted flora and fauna and Remans from other systems in their Empire.
Since 31 was already planning for the next war with the Romulans during the Dominion war, they could have been responsible for the nova, and the 31 show could deal with that...
In the case it is a natural occuring disaster, wouldn't the Romulans know much earlier about the fact than we are led to believe?I think it's nice when the bad things that happen in fiction are not the work of some deep, sinister conspiracy.
And there is the thing that the nova might travel through subspace, which doesn't happen with ordinary supernovae...
I'm not really sure if it's canon, but according to STO the nova travelled through subspace. Are you sure?
