Phase II TOS Star Fleet Uniforms Pics & Vids

They must have shot more screen tests than the ones shown in the Phase II featurette on TMP:DE DVD. Those featurettes on that disc were some of the best Trek supplemental material ever, IMHO.

Drives me crazy... We got 4 full-length audio commentaries for American Pie 2 but a 15 minute documentary on Phase II... :brickwall:

There's a TON of Phase II / early-TMP (Abel era) stuff out there. I attended a screening of TMP at the Egyptian in Hollywood a couple of years ago that was preceded by an interview with Richard Taylor from Abel. There was an all-too-brief slideshow of sets and miniatures from Phase II (however unimpressive they were; they were shown to contrast with Taylor's superior, bigger-budget designs). They were a lot of fun to see; all of this stuff really needs to see the light of day!

There is test footage out there - I know it was an extra on one of the movie dvds. Good luck finding it, though -- searching youtube for "star trek phase II" renders something else.

All my long sleeves are paisley still. It came back a few years ago for a time, and then hit the Goodwill stores about the same time. A student gave me a teddy bear wearing a paisley shirt once; it's kind of a trademark.

Polos, alas, are solid color.

I know, where's the rest of it? They had brief snippets and the book had screenshots. We want more!

I just remembered.

the Shuttlecraft's cockpit was cut off and that became the travel pod. The shuttle with the big cigar nacelles in Star Trek III was supposed to the shuttlecraft assigned to starships.

Original stuff from the era

Recreations

New Voyages/Phase II

skin pac for Nexus the Jupiter Incident.

Come on!

What are you babbling about?

The travel pod was designed to be the travel pod. Ask Andy Probert. He's on this board.

The shuttles built for Star Trek III were SPACEDOCK TUGS. I know this from the guy who built them (Bill George at ILM).
