There was a press conference/release. It's set Ten years before TOS in the prime universe. So it should look a lot like the the 1960s era series. The claim is that Spocks mum will be in it, and the lead actor is a not white female who is also not a captain, which could mean a lower decks deal.
Yes? She's a celebrity. The first human female to survive sex with a Vulcan. There were 11 other Constitution Class Federtation Battle Cruisers, and thousands of other (smaller?) ships, and probably tens of thousands of shuttles, not that ships that big were warp capable back then... Unless someone realised that 2 spare warp reactors inside Enterprise were just bombs waiting to go off which is why other ships similar in size to a shuttle did have warp reactors. Picard talked about Federation colony ships in Ensigns of Command that can carry hundreds of thousands of people. The battle ships we have been following are not the biggest ships they can build, they're just the most efficient, speed vs tonnage vs shileds vs fire power. It's like balancing plates, increase any one of those features and the other three go haywire until you have something ungodlyily unfit for battle. Or the story could even be set on a Starbase? If we were not assured that this was set in the prime universe, I would be certain that this next series was set on the Yorktown or about building the Yorktown.
We were all (yourself included) talking about Star Trek the Experience (in Las Vegas), which is an interactive "ride" that includes game play, a tour and dinner. The Experience went out of business some time ago, but there are recordings of the "ride" on youtube. Here is your past... Look up there, eyeresist put a link about Star Trek the experience in his comment while talking about Star Trek the Experience and then you said that Las Vegas was a hole, and then retrozero replied to you thinking you were talking about The Experience, saying that it is gone now. Either she thinks that Star Trek the experience is gone, or that Las Vegas is gone. If you think that Las Vegas was nuked two days ago, you're a very calm person.
No one deserves a petition on anything; and certainly not one to try to strong-arm the makers of a piece of fiction into doing anything they don't want to do. Either enjoy the product or don't. Petition? Shoot away, but I find it ridiculous.
Oh golly, this is frigging adorable, like the other petitions to get every other Trek series cancelled! Awwww!
