Well you're certainly not alone there! I obviously don't count myself in that group, but it's always fascinating to watch that debate when it happens on these boards...

To each his own. But the only thing "validating" this behavior from Archer is Phlox idiotic notion of evolution. And even if you do admit this inane pseudo theory, there are a few things from Archer that are very grating, like his remark to Trip in Sleeping Dogs, the very next episode: "Remind me, never to help people"

"Yeah, tell that to the ten million that you just condemned to death, jerk!"

Or much later in The Observer Effect when he appeals to the Organians to violate their principles in the name of compassion: "Yeah, tell that to the millions that are still dying because of you, bastard!"

End of rant...

I definitely give Precious Cargo an F.

I like Canamar but more for its fan fic potential. No love for Dean Stockwell as the guest star in that one, eh?

Dean Stockwell wasn't in Canamar, he was in Detained.

Indeed. And I actually did nominate Dean Stockwell for the Guest Star award for Detained in season 1, as shown in the original post!

Oh, oops - in my defense, they're similar episodes.

I suppose I almost retcon them as Detained being related to Canamar, as if they're almost parts of the same story.

I use Canamar a lot in fan fic as a garden-variety awful prison where the few females are always in peril and the commandant barely knows how to process a release as there are so few of them.

We all make that kind of mistake.

The ironic part in Canamar is that we never get to see Canamar.

It's why I go to it as a fan fiction device. Without seeing it, it can be anything.

I write it in the JJVerse as having just two female prisoners - an elderly Suliban and a Vulcan born during the transport of her parents (who are killed) to the prison. Ugly place; the Suliban agrees to sleep with the commandant in order to get powdered milk to feed the baby, who she takes in and raises as her own.

Is that a genetically enhanced Suliban like Sarin?
