I got some new shoes! Links are in the Latest Purchases thread.
Pink's a really simple colour to wear in a shirt; goes with almost anything.
I was looking a pink linen jacket the other day. Sadly not in my size.![]()
The best ones have bar code tattoos now. Just program your Blackberry to scan them.I think I could almost see a price tag hanging down. Must have been an end of month sales deal or something.![]()
I have this vision of me in ten years time...
Got get a new trench and fedora as well.
And I'm looking for a knife "dress/formal" pocket knife.
I like the way this thread is going.

Keep shooting for it. You'll get there

I love trenches. I think I'm up to three now. They're just very cool items.
There was a whole lengthy thread on another board I read about this. I don't carry a pocket knife, so never realised the variety out there. Let me know if you want me to send you the thread link (provided I can find it again!)And I'm looking for a knife "dress/formal" pocket knife.
Indeed.^ Ah, the eternal challenge.![]()
I just like to go out in bra and panties.
I saw this really tall Polish or Russian chick in the supermarket yesterday who wasn't dressed in all that much more. Well OK, she had a cropped fur lined jacket on top & high-heeled ankle boots as well. In freezing cold weather.
It certainly made the weekly shop more entertaining.![]()
Data Holmes:
Like me, you have Pierre Cardin taste on a Wal-Mart budget!
I like some of the things you do, and could also be accused of "Big Pimpin'". For example, for my birthday last year, my brother bought me a fedora for the wintertime, and when I wear it, it makes me look like Michael Corleone in The Godfather -- to the point that I always mutter, when I put it on, "You have to answer for Santino, Carlo." He's threatening to get me a summer fedora, too!
A man with a hat. Oh if you can get away with it fabulous! More men should wear hats.
I love my summer straw hat which can be changed with a scarf attached to match the colour of the dress/shoes etc.
And cufflinks are cool, but not joke ones please
Am I going slightly off line here by saying favourite Christmas gifts (to myself - no-one else had the style) were a silver letter opener and a silver bookmark hallmarked with my DOB.
Oh and my man mentioned looking into (pun intended) finding a monocle. Now that would be fun![]()

Actually, I posted a pic of myself recently wearing my fedora in the most recent pic thread in Misc., so if you want to see my style, check it out. And I recently bought a new charcoal grey blazer with a lighter grey houndstooth pattern througout. -- RR

Oh then it must be accompanied with a silver topped cane. Now first person to post a pic of themselves sporting a cane...^About the monocle -- what look does that remind people of: the Monopoly guy, Mr. Peanut, or the Penguin?-- RR

I made a cane/walking staff in wood shop back in High school... I just haven't gotten around to finishing it yet. I plan to paint it lacquer black with silver or pewter accents.
A monocle has a certain Teutonic flair.
A cane - last time I was in James Smith to get a brolly, I drooled over some of the gentleman's canes on display. Great fun. Sadly these days, a bit too close to costume. Not that that bothers me in particular, but I'm not paying their prices for novelty items! However, if I ever develop a condition that actually requires use of a cane in my old age, then I'm definitely going there to get something nice to make up for the need.

Fantastic, you see you had style even then!
Please finish it, just so you can leave it at a party one night and knock on the door ten minutes later and announce 'excuse me I seem to have left my cane'![]()

You should have seen me in my spring white suit I wore to a family party when I was seven... White pants, white shirt, white jacket, white shoes, bright sun beam yellow tie... I wish I had a photo of me in that get up, I looked mint, even for a seven year old.
My mother never spared the expense or style for my "dress cloths" when I was growing up.

Heck, I made the thing because I was annoyed I couldn't find one which was long enough for me to use properly. I used to look at the gentleman canes that the tobacconist carried in his shop at the mall (man I wish he was still there). Being 6'4" tall they were always a half a foot too short to allow my arm to "lay properly" for the look. So when it came up to the "end of the year fun project" for wood shop, the first thing on my list was to make a cane on the lathe. It's a bit heavy duty, and thicker than a normal cane, but as my shop teacher commented, it fit my proportions.
Just need to do the finishing work...
Oh, and I don't need an excuse to forget things. I'm always forgetting my current hat everywhere when I take it off. I've taken to putting my car keys in it when ever I take it off at work just so I can't leave without it.
Oh, current hat of choice is a black marine 8-point cover, an odd choice but one which seems to attract plenty of attention.
