Personal Style

I'm a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl for the majority of the time. I hate wearing things like high heels and nylons but it is nice to dress up and be somewhat girly every once in a while. My hubby has the right attitude about me, I know that he's OK with my being more of a casual kind of girl but he does love when I dress up too.

I was just such a tomboy growing up that sometimes I feel funny in dresses. I even felt weird in my wedding dress even though I know I looked nice. I didn't wear heels though.

plus a big mustard yellow bag.

Mustard yellow is a great colour. I'm wearing a mustard yellow zippered sweatervest from Zegna today (with the aforementioned Diesels, plus an RLPL tan s/s shirt and a cheap plum chenille odd jacket from M&S).

Nice. :)

I can't wear mustard--I'm too pale (most yellows are problematic). That's the beauty of accessories--you can wear colors you wouldn't otherwise. :)

It's also amazing how many things that bag goes with. :)

Oh, I can't pull off most yellow either (definitely not pale yellow), but mustard yellow, in small quantities like shoes or vest, is doable. Of course, you girls do get all those colourful accessories to play with - I don't think I've quite got the balls to go for a murse yet! :D

Luckily, I can pull off yellow, as long as it's closer to pale yellow and not flourescent yellow -- I have light skin with dark brown hair and brown eyes. I have a button-down yellow Oxford shirt, and a yellow point collar shirt with a fine herringbone pattern woven into the cotton fabric. I don't think I can pull off wearing pink shirts, although my gf thinks I can -- just been too afraid of being labeled metrosexual! :guffaw: -- RR

Pink's a really simple colour to wear in a shirt; goes with almost anything.

I was looking a pink linen jacket the other day. Sadly not in my size. :(

I often wear a pink shirt to work. Unfortunately so does everyone else. Especially on a Friday. Guess I'm not popular enough to be different. ;)

That's why you need the pink linen jacket, you see. :D

I just like to go out in bra and panties.

I saw this really tall Polish or Russian chick in the supermarket yesterday who wasn't dressed in all that much more. Well OK, she had a cropped fur lined jacket on top & high-heeled ankle boots as well. In freezing cold weather.

It certainly made the weekly shop more entertaining.

I think I could almost see a price tag hanging down. Must have been an end of month sales deal or something.

I still struggle with what is my style. I am sort of afraid to stick out, and I get cold easily (well it is winter.. duh).. so right now my style is jeans with several layer tops. Or a nice looking modern cardigan....

... and my spiderman socks. And im not kidding..

I don't quite know what my style is, I'm still developing it. But I try to go for a bit more bold stuff, at least colorwise, since I'm pretty sudbued in my skintone, eyecolor and haircolor.

As for what I'm kinda aiming for...I have this vision of me in ten years time, stepping out my Camaro and looking absolutely dashing in a nice suit and goodlooking shirt. No tie, I'm not friends with them. Also includes me being a good 80 pounds lighter  May not end up there, but sorta what I'm going for.

Been slumming it a bit lately-- well that last couple of years. Jeans, pull overs/hoodies, and running shoes. Since I'm going to go out and try to drum contracts and/or go job interviews-- not to mention, sitting an example for my son-- going back into dress shirts and a suit vest-- ranging from slate to charcoal/black, black socks and dress shoes. Got get a new trench and fedora as well. And I'm looking for a knife "dress/formal" pocket knife.

Mine on a work day is casual business attire.

I prefer a wide leg, no pocket, no pleats dress pant (I have the same style in grey, black and brown) with a sweater/blouse/camisole combo.

Weekends are jeans and hoodies :)

I like to be comfy :D

Same thing, minus the snowshoes. :D

 You'd need them here lately...snowbanks of up to 9 feet in some areas  The one on our apartment building front lawn goes up to the second floor!

I just bought a nice pink blouse to wear with my burgandy pullover tomorrow :D
