Pegasus & TATV combined

I'm not gonna watch it (no time), but I'll be interested in seeing opinions. Are the TATV scenes with Riker and Troi as jarringly awful, compared to the TNG ep, as I think they'll be?

how many episodes in a paper sack and shaken together would be necessary to rescue TATV?

Hm, interesting endeavour; I just skimmed through the whole thing. However, this just illustrates how These Are The Voyages doesn't really fit anywhere in The Pegasus. While in the beginning it might work, it becomes rather jarring later on. Especially in parts seven and eight it's obvious that the writers didn't really pay attention: Riker ends the Enterprise program with the decision to talk to Picard, but in the next scene (from The Pagasus) he's on the bridge and doesn't say a word. It's only later when he finally reveals the truth to his captain.

Ignoring the quality issues of TATV and the disastrous way in played out, watching this, it still makes no sense to me that Riker would make a decision as important as the one he made in the Pegasus, based on time in the holodeck. TATV cheapens the scene where Riker stands up to Pressman to a perilous degree.

I like that someone put them together just to see how they could play out, but it's still TATV.

I'm gonna have to agree with LeadHead and NCC-1701(I love your avatar btw). Every time it transitioned between Pegasus and TATV it was rather... awkward and obvious... and seeing Deanna and the Enterprise-D sets being so different and just wrong every other scene was pretty damn ridiculous too. I mean I understand that they couldn't get everything the same because it was like 10 years later but still... seeing it next to each other is weird.

My hat is off to them for doing it and off to those of you that sat through it. I, personally, can't. I have always loved all things Trek. The good, the bad, the ugly. But the train wreck that is known as TATV is the only thing in the entire franchise that I will likely never see again.

It's possibly the only thing in the franchise that should be utterly erased from existence by Diabolical magical means.

Sorry, but anything with TATV must be stricken from the public record. All that episode did was to drag down "The Pegasus" in the same toilet.Really a shame too, as "The Pegasus" is quite a good effort. Now whenever i watch it, I'm reminded of TATV and have to vomit.

Just purge TATV from your mind and insist to yourself that it was just a bad dream. That way 'The Pegasus' is still a fine ep. ;)
