^ Awww crap. :(

Hopefully they'll make him less....manic.

Well crap, I was going to find the article and link it here just so I could back up my statement. I know I read it somewhere...

Anyways, as for Charlie, well I've been a fan of his since "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia." He's not the most versatile actor in the world, so when I knew he was going to be in this movie I pretty much knew what to expect. I personally didn't have a problem with him though.

I think the only hope for a sequel is if it becomes a massive hit in China.

Ive heard (but not seen) that some tracking has PR having longer legs than the movies that finished ahead of it last week. Deservedly so.

MY top 10 SF movies of the decade so far:

2010s:

1. Inception(2010)
2. Pacific Rim(2013)
3. Star Trek:Into Darkness(2013)
4. Man of Steel(2013)
5. Oblivion(2013)
6. Looper(2012)
7. Tron:Legacy(2010)
8. The Adjustment Bureau(2011)
9. The Avengers(2012)
10. Rise of the Planet of the Apes(2011)

Alright, this is my favorite movie of the summer.

I loved the attitude, the characters, the music, the effects, the actors, the monsters, and the robots.

I really liked those cool RGB laser displays used in the movie, too.

I'd love to see this climb up the box office chart this weekend, but I have a feeling The Conjuring and Turbo are the ones everyone is going to be flocking to.

It was fun. I liked it. :) Not sure if there will be a potential sequel, going by the last portion of the movie.

The producers have already suggested that a sequel might have something to do with "drifting" with the kaiju.

GDT said in an interview that I saw on IGN that they wrote a very detailed outline, although now I can't remember how long he said it was. He made it pretty clear that they have a lot of material for the sequel, and the video game that he is hoping to make.

I wouldn't worry about a sequel (I'm still hoping for a prequel). Remember Hellboy II:The Golden Army. That just came out of nowhere.

I wouldn't worry about ever seeing anything from this movie again. It's on track two be one of the top 4 flops of the summer making only $39 million in it's opening weekend.

Like Hellboy, Pacific Rim is going to be a fan favorite.

Honestly what kind of world do we live in when below average stuff like Man of Steel and Star Trek into Darkness makes a ton of money and good movies like Pacific Rim gets ignored.

^ Superman and Star Trek are known properties and Pacific Rim is not only unknown, but probably comes off like another Battle: Los Angeles. And besides, not everyone thinks that Man of Steel or Into Darkness were below average.

People also complain about the lack of originality. As for Battle: Los Angeles, there was more damage in Man of Steel and Star Trek into Darkness.
