    If they let Mythbusters explode crap there, they'll let anyone do anything.

    To be fair, they can only use the Tillman Water Reclamation Plant for so many things. Eventually you need a second facility.

    Not really - as TOS proved with the Vasquez Rocks location back in the day, you just need to shoot different angles. ;)

    Vasquez Rocks is in everything from Blazing Saddles to The Muppet Movie. Everybody shoots there. Trek was hardly unique in that regard.

    Personally, if I ever ran into fans shooting a film in a Japanese tea garden I'd skip their camera over stepping stones and into the nearest pool of water.
