PACIFIC 201 - A Star Trek Film

Here is a update from Eric Henry:
Hey everybody! It was DEFINITELY about time for an update. Particularly because we have hit a pretty major milestone in production... and that's the fact that we've completed a rough cut of the entire film! While we still have about 3-4 very small shoots to complete, the bulk of the film is now compiled and ready for refinement. After that comes VFX, then sound and music, then release! We hope to get the film out in the ballpark of (very) late spring this year, and it looks like we're on track to meet that release window.

Starting now, updates will be properly scheduled and released on a predictable and regular basis regardless of whether or not there is big news to share. I know updates have been sporadic and sparse, but rest assured that is only because we are so busy working on the movie that it's easy to forget that we haven't kept our most loyal fans in the loop! It's hard to juggle everything when our team is so small. But hopefully scheduling updates from here on out will ensure that we stay on task with keeping you informed! Thank you to those of you who have reminded us to post updates!

So going forward, our first order of business is to finish the final few shoots of the film. From there, we can refine and finish a locked cut of the entire movie. And from there, we can take the final steps of VFX and music! It's really exciting to see the film falling into place, and we hope to share more with you soon!

Expect updates every two weeks or so, and hopefully by next update, I can let you know when our next teaser will be released - we're currently putting that together.

Thank you all so much for your support!

@Philip Guyott I have looked around at their social media pages.........I'm guessing the regular updates did NOT happen?

I received the following info from a Kickstarter update:

Pick-up Shoots Continue! And we're up to our necks with editing!

I'm not going to leave you guys with a lot of text this time, but rest assured that we're still working hard on the project! With just a few more shots to get, we're just about ready to wrap up shooting for good! That means that after another week or so, the only thing that stands between us and release is the final edit, and some VFX sequences! Granted, we have some pretty heavy VFX sequences to complete. But hopefully, we'll be able to knock them out in a timely fashion!

Here are some pictures from both our most recent shoot, as well as our most recent VFX shot.

^ Recently, we shot a discussion between a Starfleet Intelligence officer and Commander Vandre.

In other news, we're planning a trailer for the relatively near future, which should hopefully give you all a really good picture of how the film will look and feel, as well as a more firm and accurate release date to look forward to! But that's still a matter of discussion behind the scenes, here. Thank you all for being so understanding and patient with our very uncertain schedule!

Finally, I'll leave you all with a little glimpse at how the edit looks behind the scenes. It looks like a mess of tiny clips, but even in the midst of profound chaos, there are the seeds of order.

This looks to be a link to an email, not something we can view.

Fucking Starfleet overruning parkland for buildings they could put anywhere...

"Profound chaos"? Please, it looks no more chaotic than any typical, simple edit timeline.

Thanks, the link was unintentional and has now been removed. I simply copied the text and posted the images as found in the email sent to me.

Perhaps the building is an older structure from before the founding of Starfleet. :vulcan:
Congrats to Starfleet on repurposing these old listed buildings to preserve them for future generations. ;)

I've been to Rodeo Lagoon many times. Keep Starfleet Out!
