It is kind of harsh to go back to 1987, since they weren't dating back them.

I was wondering the other day, is this really a shipper thread? I tend to steer clear of such threads in other areas of the board because they seem to be a bit limited and often get snippy quite quickly. Does this thread count? Shouldn't we be posting hot pics of the stars and denoucing all other ships or something?
Thank you.Posted by Gold Grizzly:
EDIT: I should give my thanks to those who have started / contributed to this thread, as I consider it to be one of the keys to the recent resurgence of the TNG forum.![]()

Probably because this was Gene Roddenberry's idea of a Utopian society. Picard, in The Neutral Zone certainly seems to view the moneyless economy as the key to full human development; Beverly tells Kyril Finn that she lives in an "ideal culture". Of course, we know that it isn't a perfect world unless P and C are together.Posted by Big Gorilla:
Why is the United Federation of Palnets a psuedo-Communist society, apparently with no capitalism and money?

Even though we discuss anything and everything to do with Jean-Luc, Beverly, Jack, Wesley and Walker Keel, it basically does come back to the fact that we kinda sorta think Jean-Luc and Beverly ought to get together some day. Maybe. At least for some HOT SEX.
