Bin Laden isn't dead. His death was faked, and right now he is tortured in a secret location somewhere in Eastern Europe because he as the leader of Al Qaeda is a much greater source of information than any of his henchmen could have ever been.

The Navy Seals already blew up the helicopter and the people checking out the compound after our raid were not proven terrorists. So killing scores of people without proven cause to blow up something that had already been blown up will only lead to more people convinced that Bin Laden was right. If you have a problem with the Chinese gaining info on our technology, you should be more concerned with our industrial base being moved there.

If that's true, not only were they well aware of the compound itself, they were well aware that it was built as an al Qaeda safe house.

The fact that bin Laden felt safe enough to live in a house that had already been "raided" leads me to think he was pretty confident that he had some serious control over the ISI.

Everyone is overlooking this too, he was a world-wanted terrorist and had no security force at his compound. So that meant he was confident that the ISI and Paki military was his security force.

If he were alive the first thing he would do is release a video of himself reading today's newspaper and laughing. This would make the USA look ridiculous, make him appear immortal to his followers and spark as much fanatic's anger as if he'd died.

This wouldn't put him in any danger. He wouldn't be safer if most of the world thought he was dead, because most of the world isn't leaving their living rooms. The people who knew he was alive, like Obama, would keep looking.

It's possible he died last year of syphilis and this SEAL raid was fake. But even so, he's dead.

The safe house is in the middle of a neighborhood. Cruise missiles would certainly have done considerable damage to nearby areas. After the incident people from the neighborhood would gather round the property area to gawk and see what all the fuss was about. Cruse missile into a crowd is not a good thing. It is very likely that the average person, ie. one who would be killed by said missile, would have no idea who was there beforehand. Thus innocent.

The SEALs were inserted on a stealthy special forces variant of the Blackhawk helicopter. This is the remains of the one that crash landed and was destroyed by the SEALs.

It is very interesting. But be aware that the lower concept art is just one person's educated guess as to how the rest of the helicopter looks (with very little info). Reality could be completely different.

Thanks for clearing that up. I thought the vague lines of the speculative drawing of the secret helicopter variant based solely on pictures of a destroyed tail section would be 100% conclusive.
