okay so is this like a new Trek series on regular (Free) TV???
I don't watch TV pretty much ever, but I was in a restaraunt tester and saw a commercial.
Is this for real? Or is it a Pay Channel?

Nothing to do with Star Trek. It's definitely inspired by Trek though & I think it has some people who have worked on Trek writing for it.

It's by Seth MacFarlane & will air on Fox.

Oh, wow. I caught a teaser ad for it and thought that looked interesting, and I saw a fuller ad and thought, oh, fantastic, someone's trying to replicate that Original Series/Next Generation vibe. And then I saw it was a comedy and was from Seth MacFarlane and it was just like my ability to feel things was turned off.

No sniping meant toward people who like this, and I'm sure there are people who will, and good on you for liking it. Just I was hoping for a show with that tone, but played straight.

Agree it looks fun, but mods should probably move this thread out of the Star Trek area and into General Sci-Fi or whatever we call it these days.
